I like the Pateadores (youth) crest. Like the Ajax crest, the number of lines has significance.

Pateadores is a Spanish slang term that means "kickers". The colors for the Pateadores Soccer Club have been blue and yellow since the inception of the club in 1987. The crest was adopted in 1989 and is outlined in yellow surrounding the blue and white crest. The black swan was added to the crest in 1995. This is to symbolize the club's unique style of play, which is aggressive, territorial, and graceful. The swan's segments represent the 4 original founding teams in the club; U19, U17, U16, and U15. The initials at the bottom of the crest, RMO, are a tribute to Robert M. O'Leary, the original Director and Head Coach of the Pateadores Soccer Club.

eeerrgh London? Way to alienate all our season ticketers. Badge design and fonts are amateurish.

I'd take just the crossed hammers on a kit, maybe with 1895 as well. I like Swansea and Forrest's simple shaped crescents.

Brommapojkarna ("Bromma Boys") play in the Swedish Allsvenskan and have a nice crest. As a team they are pretty bad and on their way to getting relegated, but they dropped VPS from the Europa League a few days ago so they are cool and good in my books.

It's got a sixties feel about it. In this case it works.

Font limitation is a guideline, not a loving stone tablet. I wouldn't normally recommend a 1:1 ratio either, but it's OK here.

I would say that using that nice badge in a kit like this is a slightly bigger problem than different fonts, though:
