They had this at the nickel arcade when I was a kid. I think it had two axes of movement so when you moved the yoke the whole thing would tilt forward/back and right/left. e: sorry I couldn't find a gif of it moving

Yeah, it was pretty much the same as the Afterburner setup. There were static cabinets of each game too... That's how you could tell if you were in a good arcade or a lovely one when I was a kid, whether or not they had the moving version of Afterburner.
