I've probably only tried 5 brands in my life but: Hendrick's is good. Someone who is big on gin might have a better opinion.

If you want a gin that's light on the wallet but doesn't taste horrible, New Amsterdam. If you've got a little jingle jangle in your pocket, Hendrick's.

Seconded.

My roommate made me drink Seagrams and Jager last time we went to his parents' house on Lake Bowen. Two great tastes that taste great toge-:barf:

A place near me had a ghost pepper witbier for a little while. Really tasty stuff; they served it in 3oz taster glasses (for $2) because that's about as much as you wanted to drink of it.

On the other hand my friend's parents just moved to Portland and it turns out her mom exclusively drinks Sierra Nevada. Doesn't want to try anything else. :(

New Amsterdam vodka is a steal at about $17.99/1.75. Like all vodka it goes great with root beer, ginger ale and lime, or crying yourself to sleep at 2 A.M.

I've never encountered vodka that tasted anything other than like rubbing alcohol smells.

:ssh: voodoo donuts are really overrated and usually just involve slapping a bunch of dumb poo poo on a pastry, so that beer is a p good representation of the brand

I've honestly never even tried it because they only sell it in the airport, to tourists.

Voodoo is a local donut shop that specializes in making 'weird'/obscene donuts and in getting people to tell tourists 'you gotta go to Voodoo it's a Portland thing' and they're better than Krispy Kreme but not by that much.

Actually, I should be fair: if you show up when there's not a line out the door and you want a donut, the cinnamon blunt donut is actually pretty good.

Was is Ghostface Killa? I've tried that stuff and it's good, but it would be difficult to drink a whole bottle.

Has anyone tried Bombay Sapphire East? It's pretty tasty and goes well in a Bloody Mary.
