By the way, that was the press conference, in Egypt, where Bachmann said, quote:Many of you have asked, do we understand who the enemy is? We can speak for ourselves. We do. Right-wingers have a tendency to put homosexuality, pedophilia and polygamy under the same umbrella of "sexual deviancy". You're either a sexual deviant or you're not, and if you're advocating rights for one type of sexual deviancy, you're advocating for it all.

Rick Santorum is like the Sarah Palin that never died. Palin is becoming more and more irrelevant every year, but while Rick is also irrelevant he still continues to get interviews, continues to be on nightly news, continues to poo poo up the national debate. It's amazing really. At the very least, when he dies he'll be forgotten and all he worked for will burn to ashes in the future electoral fires. Edit: There was a short talk a few pages ago about Bill Clinton vs H.W. Bush and I really think this clip kinda exemplifies the fact why Bill won. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ffbFvKlWqE If you pay attention they both give a non-answer, but Bill does it so much better. To be honest, it may be odd but miscarriages and stillbirths can trigger some really irrational behaviors in people. I wasn't at my best when my wife miscarried earlier this year, and that was at only three months. I really can't fault the guy for choosing any method of dealing with it that he and his family found helpful without harming anyone else. Unlike his policies.

Yeah, I love that picture. I've never seen a political photo that encompasses nearly every emotion of loss so nakedly before. Rick Santorum's phony smiles and cordiality, the open sadness of the little girl, the gently caress it look from the older daughter, staying strong from the mom and of course, 'I'm going to kill every last one of you fuckers that voted against me 'cause I'm a sociopath' look from the boy. It really is poetic and should continue to be remembered for all time. Because gently caress Rick Santorum.Skwirl posted:That's a picture from his failed Senate re-election campaign's election night party. But yeah, he hasn't won a race since he compared homosexuality to bestiality. Ah, point still stands though. Republicans have a loving learning disability because all you have to do is look at Santorum. Gay Marriage is being legalized in nearly every state in the union, bans are being struck down weekly now. You aren't going to stop it and comparing gays to pedophiles make you look incredibly out of touch, not to mention an idiot. Because no one has advocated for lowering of the age of consent. Standing against gay marriage with offensive and ignorant comments might work for a crazy, gerrymandered tea-party congressional district in a single state but it does not loving work on the national level or even the state level, with the exception being only the most conservative states in the union. It doesn't even work that well in super conservative areas because even people who are against gay marriage, and think it's a sinful lifestyle choice, are starting to know gay people and realize that they aren't pedophiles and rapists (just a little icky).
