And you still take damage from the cold near the GWD entrance even if you are on the second storey. Bit of an ohshit moment.

I haven't been able to log in in over a week, every time I click "Play Now" it just goes to a black screen that will turn white if I go to another tab and come back. Reinstalled Java 4 times and made sure old versions were gone, and have permission to run it turned on in chrome. Does anyone know what the hell is happening?

Clean your jagex cache and check if your browser is being anal about security. Chrome is the prime Runescape browser but it also blackouts quite often on my laptop, so I'm using firefox instead.

Catch swamp lizards east of Canafis with the hunter skill. They are used as a summoning ingredient and are currently worth 4.6k each. All you need are a few rope and fishing nets. It's super easy and chill and is decent hunter xp for someone level 29-50 hunter.

Just bought a membership because I need a hobby. I've never played before. I've got three quests done and now I'm wondering around hitting trees and such. Not really sure what direction to go in but the game seems fun so far. I'm interested in just doing aimless poo poo to make my character better and then wilderness seems fun. What can I waste my money on to make the game easier for me.

What can I waste my money on to make the game easier for me. If you're brand new, don't go into the wilderness unless you want to risk your rear end for some cheap steel armour. There's a bunch of high level resources and training options in there, but you should stick to Burthope and Lumbridge until you can deal with the wolves on the Ice mountain. Do the Cook's Assistant quest and start Recipe for Disaster once you have 10 Cooking, it's a quest that contains 10 quests and you can do parts of it and get rewards as you level up. If you need easy money, open the helmet menu and pick Achievements, doing these gives you between 70-5000 coins for every task. As for wasting money, train Construction

I forget what Rune is) and for whom the cost of most/all dragon gear is next to nothing. There's no reason to grind cash at the utterly deplorable rates available to newbies when high level goons can (and will) toss you a million gold - enough to last a brand new player like a couple months of buying everything in sight that you can use - because high level players who know what they're doing can make a few million an hour. Also, dive into Slayer ASAP. Training your combat just for the sake of training your combat is largely a waste of time, do slayer, collect charms, and save yourself a bunch of grinding down the road by double and triple-dipping your skill training. Doing Slayer and collecting charms instead of just grinding random mobs means you can train direct combat skills (ie melee/range/mage), slayer, and summoning all at the same time.
