Jack's proportions seem a bit odd today. Like, if his chest is that far away from the top of his head, it seems like his feet should be a foot or two underground. Well, that and he seems to have grown "older" in the sense of looking late-twenties, rather than older in the sense that Parley and Smitty are older. I guess it's just art-style growing pains?

It's true. 14-15 year old boys can look like kids or adults, really depends on their features/stage of development. I had one friend who looked about 11-12 when we were 15, and a different one, the same age, who looked 25.
