welp I'm 5000 posts behind in the I/P thread. I'm just going to assume things have only gotten worse. I mean I know from the car radio dial being jammed on public radio what Israel's been bombing lately. ugh. In lighter NPR news, how have I not heard of the Tower of David before? It's in Caracas, Venezuela. For dystopia fans, the piece made it sound like a cross between Kowloon Walled City and the Ryugyong Hotel. Best part was some big shot who lives in the 28th floor "penthouse". Nice view, but you have to climb up and down 28 flights of stairs if you want to go anywhere.

I tried it once and while the wings were average to fair, they seemed to have replaced all the windows in the restaurant with flat-screen televisions and the interior volume was way too loud.

I hate places that put TVs everywhere, they're so distracting. I want to be able to talk with the people I'm at the bar/restaurant/whatever with, instead of being drawn away by bright colors and moving things every five seconds.

My limited experience is that airports are purgatory incarnate and I don't care what's in them because my goal is to spend as little time as possible there. That being said, I love that McCarran in Las Vegas has slot machines all over the place.
