Hello I've suddenly become very interested in in acquiring a very old Joe Morgan, Eddie Collins or, I dunno, Charlie Gheringer or Lou Whitaker? It is very important that they be so old that I am forced to platoon them. It is for a secret project, please don't ask about the secret project.

tatankatonk posted:Can people stop trying to maneuver for extremely marginal upgrades and accept that your team's core is already in place and that is what will either make or break you To some degree, that's why I so eagerly traded away my pick - I just wanted to be done with it, because this draft class is shite. I would however ask if people could please not draft the Schilling still on the board, because I made a deal that if Schilling is still on the board by the time my traded pick comes up, the "pick for ancient catcher" part of the trade is reversed, I get a triple-Schilling rotation and can at least in some way carry on the spirit of The Worst (I got the idea because my Barry is just the worst).

I've got pitchers available, guys like 1907 Al Orth (was used with pretty good success in the pre-SL-Ref era), 2012 Madison Bumgarner, 2012 Tim Lincecum (both of those have championship experience and are clutch as hell, especially MadBum), 1970 Jim Palmer, 1968 Catfish Hunter, 1965 Ken Holtzman and 2012 Matt Cain, maybe you can find something you like in there. Hell, if you can find a few guys you like, I might be willing to take both of your Schillings. EDIT: By the way, this offer of trading for your Schilling is also valid for Monathin and Marauder. Wow it actually looks like he has the stamina to play every day for you, which is surprising at 40. Would you need another 2B back or do you have another to step in? I have a 1990 Molitor and a 1930 Riggs Stephenson if you need a stand-in at 2B. Also I suppose 1970 Hal McRae can still play 2B. I don't have a lot of 2B depth to find you a replacement from unfortunately. I didn't actually expect that he could play every day for someone, you see.
