Well if you're just going buffs then start as Bandit, put no points into Att and use the Southern Ritual Bands for spell slots. You're gonna want to max out w/e elemental Bonus for the buff(s) you're using so they last as long as possible. That's 30/30 For Dark, and 50 for the Magic buffs/SLB. I suggest Dark since you get Dark Weapon really early and it has 4 casts. Also make sure to use the Lingering Dragoncrest Rings.

So, I just killed Freja. I get her soul and then run over to get the actual, hovering lord soul. Great. I proceed to Drangeilic castle. Oh wait, I don't have four lord souls? I go back to Freja's room convinced I must have missed it. Nope, that pillar thing is now there below the dragon that is webbed up in the ceiling. Is there anything I can do? Any way to contact From? Or, shudder, burn an ascethtic and refight Freya? I am playing on PC.

The easiest way is to kill one of the lord soul bosses a few more times. What is your soul memory at right now? I believe it's the number in the top-right on the player status screen. Are you sure you killed all four of them and got the "Great Soul Embraced" message for each one?

Coop accrues souls fast (try the great soul bosses), so does the Iron Keep. You sure you killed all four of the great soul bosses? There's the Rotten in Black Gulch, Duke's Dear Freja in Brightstone Cove Tseldora, the Old Iron King in the Iron Keep, and the Lost Sinner in Sinner's Rise.

Yes - I have, in my inventory the following lord souls: Sinner, King and Rotten. I have Freja's non-lord soul. This is my second play through, so I knew I had to run over and get the lord soul after killing her. The appearance of the crystal ant hill thing seems to confirm I did so. I've been back like three times to Freja's room just to make sure.

You don't have to light the primal bonfires or anything like that, those are just there as a way to get back to Majula during a no bonfire run.

Freja doesn't have a Lord Soul, it's just some mutant spider. The dead dragon trapped in the web has the Lord Soul and you absorb it from him. It's not a physical item either.

Well, just started another NG+ run and I keep getting invaded by the same hacker, he's invincible, naked and won't stop throwing gear breaking pots at break neck speeds. When I see his name I just jump off a cliff or something since there is nothing I can do to him, luckily he only got my rings since I'm a dragon and all that but still pretty drat annoying. How is it possible for someone to have less than 700 health at 2M SM? I just "dueled" someone with that much, and by that I mean I hit him once with my Black Knight Greataxe as he was coming towards me and he died instantly. Was comical.

Red Invaders are really loving dumb in the belltower. If you go for Bellkeepers rather than the host you're just making things harder for yourself.

I started a new character on PC, and although I haven't played the game since launch basically, I'm just cruising through the content. But I'm totally stuck in my old mindset and playstyle, so I'm rolling Drangleic armour and bastard sword and I'm not seeing anything that's much better yet at around the halfway point. On my first character I went for the Alonne Knight armour and greatsword, but I don't really want to do that again, so I'm looking for any other good alternative strength-based build. How is the Murakumo in this game? I got one in the Majula chest, and it was my preferred weapon in DS1. It requires a lot of dex, but is it worth just sticking with the minimum requirement? I was thinking of switching to that and then sticking on maybe the elite knight armour to counteract the weight gain. People are saying it ends up being as good as the Drangleic armour, but gently caress farming for chunks again. Any other good mid-to-heavy armours?

If I'm invading you know I'm going to murder everybody I can. Friend tip: If you're invaded by people with long names or uncensored names, disconnect them, they're hackers. I got attacked by a guy named 'equipment breakage therefore tears' so I unplugged him, but not before he cast acid fog over fourteen times in the space of a second on one of the phantoms with me. Disconnecting too often (I think 10 times?) will result in a co-op ban. You'll still get invaded, but won't be able to summon phantoms or get Blue Sentinels assists. You can use a Bone of Order to reset the ban, but those don't grow on trees.
