Are there any enemies or bosses you straight-up can't melee to death in Dark Souls? It doesn't seem like any enemy has physical resistance, so there's no reason not to just bump up all your "whack poo poo to death" stats to maximum to clear the game out.

"Whack poo poo to death" is the way the game is meant to be played on the first time through. Dark Souls 2 works with different kinds of damage, not just general physical resistance. The three kinds of melee attacks are 'slash', 'thrust', and whatever they refer to blunt damage as. Usually whatever the enemy is made out of determines what it's resistant and weak to; the big guys in the Tower of Flame are made of stone, so they're resistant to slash/thrust and weak to blunt. But generally because Strike has no general weakness, the easiest time to breeze through the game is carrying a mace and occasionally enchanting it for bonus damage because a majority of the enemies are armored in some way.

Yeah pretty much. Ironically in a world of swords that are on fire forever and magic that can literally eat your soul, the best weapon for any given situation is a club or a mace.

I want every game to be impenetrable and nuts and made by platinum. I just finished the Wonderful 101, got a ton of consolation prizes but finished it and it was great! (Platinum games always seem to kick my teeth in the first play through.) Bayonetta is the best though, I got the platinum trophy in it

I actually just finished watching the Indigo Prophecy series they did because I had that game and played about 15 minutes of it, I was curious how the rest of the game was.

In addition to the earlier suggestions, I'd recommend the I Have No Mouth playthrough. It's not as hype as most of their series, but it's still two cool guys being very interested in a very interesting game.

But he's dead now. Dead in a Cuban prison fortress.

KoF can make several 3D models for the cost and time one 2D HD sprite is gonna cost them. If they want to do it and do it well, I see no problem with them switching to 3D models.

Oh I have no doubt. I'm just saying they already have the gorgeous sprites done and so just using them again is very little money spent. I mean gently caress if Capcom can use that same Morrigan sprite for 49 and a half years I think it's ok if they double up on KOF13 sprites. That and they LOOK SO loving GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Despite Pat playing DS1 and DS2, he seems to way overestimate fall damage. Latest video and the one where you get Knives back in Giants are like baby damage when you fall.
