Ghetto SuperCzar posted:

I keep opening support tickets and asking if my character still exists, I get a reply saying "There is no restoration data available or not enough information". So I write more, letting them know maybe it wasn't deleted and doesn't need restored, but they keep responding that I should open a ticket to handle the problem. This is my third support ticket I've opened to ask this, and each time I keep getting told that I need to open a support ticket. Is their support just bad or am I running into a lazy employee?

S-E support is hilariously bad, when I was trying to get into my account at one point I was told by support that it didn't exist--even though I tried to register multiple times and was told it did. Password recovery didn't work, either.

Turns out that e-mails in S-Es database are case sensitive, and because I didn't capitalize it, they couldn't find it! :downs:

Uh, what the gently caress? That's messed up. I thought only Dragoons had dragon spirits inside them. That's some lovely roleplaying, if true.

I once played with a white mage who had a macro set up to shout "SPIRIT BOMB" every time they used Holy.

I dunno if that counts as role playing, but it was really annoying because they were casting Holy a lot.

In their defense a White Mage who doesn't cast Holy a lot is a Bad White Mage, so this guy was probably ok

First time I heard it I kind of hated the Leviathan theme but it really grew on me and it's probably one of my favorite ones. Titan is still the best though because it's so intense and nerve-wracking and sets the perfect tone for the fight, and it's really cool how it changes with the phase.

Garuda is kinda generic rock but at least it's still way loving better than Ifrit's terrible theme.

Titan > Leviathan = Ramuh > Garuda >>>>> Ifrit

Speaking of dumb macros, is there an easy way to write one for my songs?

Ideally I'd like the Foe's icon displayed but when i hit it, have it say something to the effect of "casters gather, singing foe's for whatever seconds".

I figure I'm not singing as often as normal attacks and it's decently helpful to know when they're going up, or is this a bad idea?

As far as I know, there's no way to give an alert when Foe's goes down. You could use something like

code:
/macroicon "foe's requiem"
/ac "Foe's Requiem" <me>
/p "Casting Foe's Requiem"
to alert your party that you're casting it.

The real question is why you'd want to since it doesn't affect your party, it gives a debuff to all enemies in hearing range that increases magic damage taken.

KaneTW
Dec 2, 2011

There's a debuff on the boss whenever Foe's up, and your casters should tell you when they want it sung. Otherwise, a /p Casting Foe's <se.6><se.6><se.6> should do the job.

I personally put a /wait 3 in all my song macros so that, in case I have to move or drop the cast, I don't announce it (unless I don't hit it again before the 3 seconds).

In-game items for recruiter and recruitee (more of them for the recruiter) when the recruitee subscribes for game time past the 30-day trial period

Yeah, but once you get a hang of it each phase just locks into place. We were in your shoes our first time, now we get to heaven's fall a couple weeks later on almost every run and even got to phase 4 a time or two.

Also was bored tonight so I helped kill twin for a bunch of goons. 4-5 new people. We had one person leave and picked up another halfway, but they had cleared before so it was handy. Divebombs really seem to be the only killer on that one anymore. We didn't really wipe on anything else more than once or twice. I got a BLM scepter out of it too, so that's cool. Now I have some more incentive to actually level my thm.

Thornmarch has the feel of a 1990s Tim Burton film, and it's great. Titan loving owns. Ramuh is ok, but I wish there was more to it. Just gets boring after a bit. I also kindof wish Garuda had a bit of a changeup in hers as well.

Thornmarch's music cribs off of Nightmare Before Christmas so hard that I'd almost expect a Halloween event that replaces the Moogles with characters from the movie. I'd be down for that. They could play it off as a Kingdom Hearts-crossover event which would mean all bets are off for the characters we could see in FF14.
