Tropico 4's OK but like a lot of city builders once you've timesunk into it once and run through the tech tree it's kinda lame. Also the mechanic of having to physically get builders to buildings to construct them really slows poo poo down.

N4I: once your self-probation ends, GalCiv3 thoughts? I enjoyed galciv1, and galciv2 was a massive improvement(love the ship builder) with some issues(campaign mode sucked). Something about galciv3 felt off in all the stardock dev journals, and with stardock releasing a non-stop series of bad games, I didn't feel comfortable wasting oney on preordering/steam early accessing it. Let me know your take on galciv3, since you seem to the resident "space-sim guy" in gip. Also, found a site that fans of elite & wing commander: privateer gameplay will like. http://www.sharoma.com/frontierverse/game.htm It's a archive of different frontier: elite 2 versions with fixes, and gameplay enhancements included, or not included if you prefer.
