actually i can't see the little plat things that were (?) next to peoples names, did that go away or can i attribute this to my horrible radio shack laptop?

It would be nice if the plat icon was an opt-in setting you could choose. Alternatively, I don't know if it's been doing this for long but at least now the forums lets you know when you try to PM someone who can't receive them, which is really the only reason to have the plat icon in the first place.

I didn't report a post for about 7-8 years, but at one point the post-LF crowd became so libertarian-style insufferable that I spent a week reporting people. Since then I've never reported anyone. I have no idea if it had any effect. I have written an admin from time to time saying, "Can you loving do something about this clown?" which is the corrupt, PLAT version of reporting.
