What a crap sale. I kind of wish they had done this one first, so we could of got the slightly more impressive sale last.

I was interested in a bunch of VC stuff and Tomodachi Life last week. This week Sonic is the only thing i'd look at getting, and i've heard nothing but the worst things about that version.

Japan's getting COTM next week.

Konami's generally not too bad about bringing their VC stuff overseas, so I can't imagine we'll be waiting too long. They've already rated Aria of Sorrow, so it'll definitely show up at some point, too.

UK dudes, apparently GAME is doing some in-store promo where you can get 10% off eShop codes by playing some Nintendo Zone app or something? 10% isn't much of a discount but their codes tend to be cheaper than buying direct to begin with, so every little bit helps, I suppose.

PAL dudes, note that the Fire Emblem game that's being released today will also be on sale for 30% off, alongside a bunch of other games.

I have no idea what that Disney Infinity thing is all about... does the game not come with a disc?

BlazBlue Chronophantasma is a weird budget Smash/Power Stone-style game with chibified versions of BlazBlue characters, there's a DSiWare game in the same vein. I haven't heard good things about either of them.

I don't know much about Demon King Box, I guess it's some tower defense thing? but the trailer has an ESRB nudity warning, so there's that, too.

Typical garbage sales for NA area, but Nano Assault Neo is a pretty cool Starfox-y game if you're looking for something like that. I don't know if Neo is like basically a straight port of the 3DS game or not, but it really wouldn't matter as it's pretty good.

If you do manage to get beyond the first world, you're stuck in gyroscope hell alongside silly gimmicks that pretty much wiped out all the progress the series had made since the console Colors/Generations (Both are pretty much Sonic Rush on the 3DS)

Do the flagship Wii U titles ever get discounted on the eshop? (Mario 3d world, Donkey kong freeze, etc)

I'm going to pick up Mario 3d world eventually, but would rather have the digital version, but amazon et al sell the disc version for $50 vs. the eshop's $60.

I'm not in a hurry at all, but wondering if patience will pay off for this type of thing, as Nintendo typically hasn't really reduced the price of their 1st party software until a couple years after release.

I don't think those have been discounted so far and are pretty unlikely to be any time soon. The best deal you'll find for digital games is if Best Buy runs another 20% off eShop cards sale.

You keep saying this as if it means something. Slightly better choice on one promotion doesn't compare to the 80's and 90's bro. NOA is being strangely sucky as of late, but I don't think we're at a state where America of all countries can moan about Region Dickery as if they've had any real experience with it.

I wouldn't say I get off on this, it's just strange seeing American dudes get up in arms about things they get up in arms about.

I'd be more than willing to trade the occasional sales, slightly better promotions and slightly earlier VC releases we get for actually decent indie release schedules that you guys get.

It's still ridiculous that Australia has to wait for FIGS localized versions of stuff like Shovel Knight and the type when almost no one speaks any of those languages here and there is a perfectly acceptable US english localization out there. Though to be honest, being a part of Nintendo of Europe is a whole lot better than being a part of Sony Europe.

I prefer to focus on the present and look to the future, rather than dwelling on the past. The 80s and 90s were a long time ago. (And I say this as someone who has experienced both decades. I am not that young!)

Since I have not lived in PAL regions, when my region suddenly starts getting screwed (admittedly a little) and I don't get something that I had been wanting for a long-rear end time at the same time as another region, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to complain a little. I never said that Nintendo has never screwed over Europe or will never screw them over again. (Because they certainly have and I'm sure they will. You guys are getting SMTIV how long after the rest of the world?!)
