The canon way to play Skyrim is a sneak archer mage who only uses raise undead spells (not dead thrall) and liberal application of the fear spells from cover. Cast frenzy, watch as the enemies all kill each other/get killed by the resident boss enemy and then raise the winner's fellows one at a time to do battle with him until he dies.
