It's alright man, I got your back.

For future reference, I find that the Abandoned BOS Bunker from Dead Money is a perfectly serviceable player home. It's got benches, containers, a hot plate, and the ability to consistently enter it without the game crashing.

I'm not denying problems with LS happen, I'm not denying they happen to multiple people, I am saying the fact that they aren't universal or even the norm in this thread does mean something else is likely to be having an effect on your game. No, it's not. No mod creator of any mod, ever, for any Gamebryo game in existence, could guarantee compatibility with every other mod out there. It is not even possible. Not even for Arthmoor :v:

Your logic fails when you assume that every single person who encountered the bug has the same mods, the same load order, and did the exact same thing in-game to trigger it as me. The only thing we know for sure that these people have in common is that they all used LS. If you think something else is causing the problem, you're welcome the tell that to the next guy who can't access their home at all and needs to restart thier game. I just thought that a warning in the OP would be preferable than you troubleshooting other people's mod problems for another 500 pages.

Meanwhile, I am helping myself finding a more stable house mod. It's not like I don't have a choice to live with my mods randomly breaking without warning. All of my other mods are at least functional. Since fixing an obvious bug is so unfeasible, the easy solution for me is to not use the mod.

Also, if anyone wants a tiny home with everything you could want that (that's vanilla anyway) you can teleport to from anywhere (and still get back to where you were) there's this one I found.

For anyone getting Lombard Station crashes, make sure LombardStation.esp is listed above your add-ons, so:

Lombard Station.esp
Lombard Station - Dead Money.esp
Lombard Station - Honest Heart.esp
Lombard Station - Old World Blues.esp
Lombard Station - Lonesome Road.esp
Lombard Station - Gun Runner's Arsenal.esp

This seemed to fix my Lombard Station related crashes for some reason, YMMV, I don't know

I just did the quest Classic Inspiration and all I can say to Michael is goodbye. I tried to fix the problem by giving myself the two items with the console (I don't have any of these items), but it doesn't change anything. When I go talk to Steve, I can't enter diallogue and the game is just zooming on him. Any idea how to solve that problem?

if that looks like your problem, try:

guy who made The New Bison Steve Hotel and Lucky Casino posted:

Use the console to set this stage then talk to Steve:

SetStage XX01bcd0 50

XX is the numerical slot my mod is in your load order.

yeah I wish he'd added a check/way around it too, but I'm guessing it was "this takes place in primm, people will get to primm before they hit the strip, no problem"

well, just goes to show, right?

e: come to think of it, how hard would it be to get to the appropriate stage and say "if quest_x is complete, goto 50, otherwise goto 40?" I know it's possible, hell, you can skip like 80% of FO3's main quest by going into the wrong gas station, but is it difficult to set up?

I haven't actually tried any of these, but Liberty Loft, and the HIVE seem to fit that. Or perhaps you want the Tron home.

If you use TTW there's also a UFO base that I gave up on because it was a huge maze and dumped overpowered weapons and armor on you.

I haven't looked at NV in a while but it's "DuggelzMenuFix" and "Quick Trade." Those, CASM, and a no-autoaim mod are basically required anytime I play.

http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41565/ Duggelz (condition sort, works with whatever modded crap you have)
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40635/ Quick Trade (right click for vendor thing)

Quick Trade was apparently updated a few months ago, to add TTW and mod support which is great. Quick Trade is also progression-aware, so you can't quick-trade with people you normally wouldn't be able to due to standings or story/dialog reasons. It also can add an optional floating $ icon visible from a decent distance to make merchants easier to find. You can also use it to trade crap with your teammates.

I've had the same problem with the Underground Hideout armoury that people are deacribing for Lombard. I think it has to do with filling up shelves, walls and mannequins while running hi-res texture packs. In any case, I could fix it temporarily by typing pcb in the console before entering, which leads me to believe it's a Gamebryo problem and not a mod problem, because as anyone with modding experience knows Gamebryo is a pile of poo poo.

Underground Hideout is cool but when I see the bigass wall with all the individually labeled ammo drawers something about that just looks lame as heck. It's too big. I've really come to appreciate Lombard's simplicity. I just want more stuff to appear when I stock things, that would make it perfect.

Has there been a The Road style mod? It seems like it could work well mechanically, although FO3 is probably a better setting than NV. Guns and ammo should be extremely scarce, cannibals uniquitous, and your only companion is a fragile, useless child.

On second thought, that sounds harrowing and frustrating. Maybe it should just be a random encounter: a haggard dude who takes two potshots at you with a lovely gun, and when you inevitably shoot him, you discover all he was trying to do is keep his son from getting eaten. And since it's fallout, you would have the option to eat his son.

Which kind of a dumb assumption to make since one of the first Bison Steve quests involves you going to one of the abandoned buildings north of New Vegas. I had the same problem come up, and I think it's caused by being on the Classic Inspiration quest when you talk to him, but not having it completed yet. The quest ids for Bison Steve actually have an entry for "goto if the player has already completed Classic Inspiration".

I used to have to use the pcb console command a lot in conjunction with Underground Hideout too. But then again it wasn't limited to the Underground Hideout; my computer was just old. I've got one of those Logitech G15 keyboards with the little screen at the top. I have it set to show computer stats at all times; time and date, network activity, CPU/RAM usage, etc. With that, I could see when the RAM was really getting filled up while playing FNV (or other gamebryo games) and use pcb pre-emptively. Otherwise the game would just crash when RAM usage reached a certain point.

Once I finally got a new computer around ten months ago though, all this just ceased being a problem.

There was an Easter egg in FO3 which referenced The Road. I'm not sure that it can work as anything other than how they did it in FO3.

I've got a weird problem with my FNV installation. I had a pretty large but stable modlist but I decided to install TTW. After the initial installation, FNV with TTW started up just fine, I started a new game, got through the prologue, and quit. I installed a few TTW mods/patches (TTW Eve, TTW DarnUI, and PN patch). Now when I launch Fallout New Vegas, it just refuses to start up. It doesn't even get to the slides and crash, it just doesn't start up period.j I've done the obvious and remove the mods I added, but no dice. The only way to get the game to actually launch is to remove a massive number of mods.

I updated NVAC, no change. The log file doesn't really tell me anything useful. I've also checked using MO and FNEdit, there should be no masters missing. I also tried resetting the ini files, and disabled the UI files, based on some comments I've seen. None of that has worked.

I am using TTW and EVE(for TTW), and have a somewhat annoying bug. A3-21's plasma rifle has a unique texture from EVE(that I rather like), but was obviously made for Fallout3, so its ironsights are messed up (covers center of screen when aiming). I've looked a few places for some kind of fix but I am coming up with nothing. I even checked a compatibility mod for eve and an ironsight mod to see their solution, but it was just not using that model.

Is there an easy way to fix this? (I could manage some minor nifskoping, but I am not sure if that would actually solve the problem).

Are you a bad enough dude to handle the MASTER BLASTER?

This picture captures a lot of what makes Liberty Loft so bad. Weed culture, terrible taste in literature, things like laptops and hdtvs, really stupid pop culture references, and missing textures galore (to be fair, I think I saw a fix for the textures in the downloads section of the Nexus page but didn't care enough to get it)

I did kinda like the external balcony area that overlooked Freeside though, so it wasn't all bad.

I guess I'll check out this awful looking party boat base next.
