Well, I don't think it's really a spoiler that each part revolves around the generations of the Joestar bloodline. Which is why ages ago I wondered why I got probated for saying everybody in this part is probably not alive in part 8 due to it being at least 5 generations later. Just like everybody in part 1 isn't alive anymore due to it now being 100 years later. I say this not actually knowing that this is the case, just assuming based on its history rather than what I and everybody else in this thread knows. This thread exists separately from the Jojo franchise megathread mostly out of consideration for people going in unspoiled. You might think it's a bit strange for people to be really strict about spoilers, but again it's just a matter of being considerate. Spoilers aren't really that big a deal, no, but holding back on them isn't all that much to ask either.

Because the ripple is absolutely useless against stands and Joseph probably figured it was more effective letting Jotaro hone the use of a stand that could smash Dio to bits through raw force than teaching him a skill that he would never use more than once. Joseph hasn't used the Ripple in 50 years and says as much in the Empress episode. 2. Joseph has never been good at making the kind of strong Ripples that Jonathan has, always relying on guile strategy to beat his opponents. Jotaro's Ripple wouldn't be all that strong as a result, and then he'd have to add weapon training on top of that to make up for it like Joseph did. 3. When during all of the Stand battles is Joseph going to find time to teach Jotaro how to use the Ripple proficiently, especially when he only learned how to master it by being throw into a large pit and forced to climb a giant pillar before training for a month nearly nonstop?

Also Joseph isn't exactly a ripple master like Zeppeli or Lisa Lisa. Just because you have a certain skill doesn't mean you can teach it to others, especially if you haven't really practiced it in years or even decades.

The whole spoiler thing is so hideously blown out of proportion in recent years. I get not wanting to know every single twist and turn of a story, but Jolyne's identity is literally the description of part 6, Not to mention that this is entire series is basically one long family chronicle to begin with.
