It's straight up linked in url tags I guess you are using some addon? I rehosted it on imgur though, just for you. Here's the article I'm pulling from.

From the same CBR article, here's eight of the last female led #1 covers, can you pick out the lovely one?

It's like seven badass, non sexualized, clever and skilled covers that emphasize strength and ability and then Land :geno:

It's from the Dreamworks movie Megamind. It's about a supervillain who succeeds in killing his rival and then realises he has no other purpose.

Yes, it definitely is a Dreamworks movie, but there's one scene that more than justifies the whole movie's existence.

I don't really know what else anyone expects from Manara. 100% of his previous notable work is female-focused erotica with absolutely no pretense.

I think people expect that Marvel will stop hiring him to do variant covers.

Most of those however aren't as egregious as the Spider-Woman cover, the fact that he made sure you could make out Smasher's mons not withstanding.

All but one of these has been released as a poster for sale as well. Marvel knows exactly what they are doing when they hire the guy to do a variant cover.

That Medusa's costume ain't great, but the hair is amazing. It actually looks threatening.

I kind of want to think that Marvel hired Milo Manara, and then kept having to reject covers from him and that's as tame as it got. Milo Manara is an amazing artist.

" No,Milo we can't actually show them loving"
" Oh okay , uh here is a ah cover it's just the dick"
" No we can't have dicks on the cover"
" Oh okay here she is playing with herself"

I want to see the covers they rejected , also that SpiderWoman is a straight up nude cover that's been painted to not be nude.

Did anyone think thatthey were not going to get erotic poses from someone who is most famous for his pornographic art? When I first heard about it I was like " Awesome". Manara is amazing.

Marvel knew exactly what they'd get, they were just hoping nobody would give a poo poo. It's the same reason that Land is on the book.

The Medusa cover is blatantly lightboxed from a woman being hosed. Manara's not as bad as Land for that, and can actually draw without the lightbox and doesn't plagiarise, but he's still bad.

My favourite part of the Medusa cover is the way he's shaded over where the nipples used to be, like he forgot that she's supposed to be wearing clothes.

Rob Liefeld is lazy and refuses to improve, but his art was mainly a time and place thing and he doesn't really do much anymore. Greg Land is an active worker whose art is actively malicious and destructive to the books he's on.

I've been involved in a number of cults, both as a leader and a follower.

You have more fun as a follower. But you make more money as a leader.

Personally I have much more hate for Land. Not even for the fact that he lightboxes photos, but that he blatantly traces the work of other artists and passes it off as his own which is just morally reprehensible.

Like Hakkesshu said, Liefeld got too famous too early in his career and just coasted on his popularity instead of working to improve himself. If he had committed himself it's very likely we'd view him much differently today.
