Because there's only a 3% chance of them finding someone? As was stated before, 4chan knows as well as anybody about being anonymous on the internet. Whether anyone ends up caught or not is irrelevant in regards to whether it's true or not. The 3% number is completely arbitrary and essentially plucked out of the air by you, apparently a number for sexual violence against women. It would be much more appropriate to use a number for terroristic threats. I'm also pretty sure that public figures who experience threats on the regular are told by authorities to not publicize the threats because it makes them more likely, and fucks up the investigation because the exact nature and words of the threat are now public knowledge.
