raditts posted:Between your endorsement and clips on The Soup, I watched this last week and I'm still not sure what I saw or why it happened. The one where a Brooklyn Police Station is assaulted by no fewer than two dozen Steelers fans armed with automatic weapons and molotov cocktails? The episode that sees a mortally wounded police officer's deathbed confession as an opportunity to tell Viagra jokes? The episode in which the central conflict is resolved by dousing a police car in gasoline and hurtling it into a crowd of people, where it explodes? Everything Taxi Brooklyn does flies in the face of established police procedural tropes, and its better for it. The best part? The show was just renewed for a second season.

There was a site w/ tv trailers for next week's episodes, plus casting info and show news. It was broken down by networks. Damned if I can recall its name. Can anybody help??

It does falter though and the show still has no idea what to do with Laurel. Their reluctance to kill her off made me think they were building to something with her but...no. Just be prepared to get through some soap opera tedium before a really good run of Season 2 episodes. Although I did sort of roll my eyes at episode 17 (the one I'm currently half way through) Laurel's sister might be alive! Soapy to the max

The blonde girl they have now is a martial artist and stunt person. Why would they replace her with someone that can't do those things?

I haven't seen anything that Canary she's been recast. If you're talking about Katana , that's a completely different character. Aphrodite posted:She will be. Ummm, no, she won't. As someone who was waiting to see how they would explain her becoming Canary, I was pretty impressed with what they ended up doing. Don't get me wrong, there's more than enough on Arrow that is eye-rollingly bad. However, the actors they got to play the characters are pretty great for their roles.

Hmmmm, rumors are that HBO is going to remaster and rebroadcast the Wire this month. I don't know if this means it's going to be shown in 16:9 (I don't know if 16:9 masters even exist) but I know that it was originally broadcast in 4:3 on purpose because Simon wanted a local news aesthetic.

I'd be ecstatic if they spent the money and put The Shield or Terriers on blu-ray. I know they cried it wasn't possible to do this for The Shield but the technology is there, they just have to be willing to shell out the money.

Kind of odd that this one guy was able to capture a perfect 1080p copy of this really generic and seemingly easy to make promo on 8/22 that is supposedly running many times a day and nobody else has seen. I'm not saying it's completely fake, but I am saying I won't be surprised if turns out to be completely fake. Especially given what we know of the methods of filming and the creator's artistic vision for the show.
