Also, the nice thing about GuitarPro is that there are literally thousands of tabs out there that work with it. This is essentially how I learned guitar in highschool.

We got crabs? We got crabs!
Awesome, thanks for the info.

Rocksmith is suddenly causing volume problems. While I play a song, the volume on my guitar will turn very low, almost to zero. But everytime else I get the "proper" sound: even if I just pause a song, the volume will be back again. In arcade and such, it's also fine. But in songs? Almost mute.

I've been tinkering with the audio settings and I've even resetted all settings to default, since I didn't have this problem two days ago. Nothing helps. Anyone know what I've hosed up?

Edit: nevermind, seems the solution was to crank up the volume on everything in Windows settings, and then lower them in Rocksmith.

Between that site and Guitar Pro I've managed to learn chunks of songs I didn't otherwise think I'd be able to play.

I remember it being said at some point that rocksmith doesnt work well with acoustic pickups. I will likely be buying a taylor 314ce to replace my very low end rondo who while showing me I really enjoyed the instrument it left much to be desired rather quickly.

An acoustic fits more of what I am into right now but, I would still like to play RS. How well would the expression system likely work in RS? Ubi says anything with a pickup will play and theres some youtube videos supporting it however I figured I would ask again.

Depends what's hard for you. Some of them need some technical chops (like speed) but they're structurally simple, so they're easy once you have the patterns down. Others have a lot of variation, like that Gold Motel song which starts to do a lot of walking and throwing in passing notes and articulations, so you need a better memory or at least understanding of the song

That one's super fun. :3:

Most of my bass playlist (which includes RS1 and literally all of its DLC (thank you last year's Steam sale)) is above 95% mastered. It'd be higher but I turned off Master Mode when I finished getting all the Steam achievements.

I think those are the Rocksmith 1 DLC songs. I've noticed that I've got Tab for RS1 DLC songs that I didn't buy as well. I assume it's because those are packed into a single psarc file and unlocked ingame somehow instead of a single psarc file per DLC you have bought in RS2014.

So I tried playing some early Helloween songs and... now it's clear why 80s speed metal died out - all the guitarists had to retire due to RSI, holy poo poo.

Anyway, how much do you guys practice/play? I've been off and on at it for a couple of months but maybe average an hour per day or so. I mostly just play songs, but should I as a newbie grind more on the guitarcade? I'm clearly making some progress, going by the increasing mastery rates, but maybe not as much as I could.

If you genuinely want to make progress, the best way is through actual practice routines with a metronome. It's like focusing your core technique, drilling things until they're perfect. It just makes your fingers work better, and helps you understand the instrument more.

It doesn't have to be long, just ten minutes each time if you like, but you'll adapt it to focus on the stuff you need to improve as you go. Guitarcade is fun enough but it's a bit janky, conversely it can let you get away with a lot, and it's also slooooooooooooooow when you have to start over. Critically istening to yourself play against a metronome will make you improve a lot quicker. Whether you enjoy that as much is subjective!

Every night he puts his hot dogs in the trees so the pigeons can't get them.

That font is Wingdings, and they're latitude and longitude coordinates. The top line is Cadillac Square in Detroit.

edit: second one's Florida State campus, third one's in Hertford, England

42.3314 N, 83.0458 W
30.3369 N, 81.6614W
51.7950 N, 0.0780 W

I think the third one indicates Deep Purple.

I suspect the FSU hint means Creed.
