Got an Amazon notice on my pre-order. Expected date is Oct 7. No idea if I'm even in the batch that gets a Good Morty, would rather not have to ebay that

Hell you could get it from Walmart if you want. I don't think the Good Morty deal is tied to Amazon or anything

I don't know, I think I might just buy it when it comes out at a store or something. And then later on in life if I ever meet Justin somewhere in a back ally, I'll snag his autograph.

I've never met Roiland though he runs in circles of mutual friends. I could get Dan Harmon's autograph pretty much any sunday b/c of Harmontown but that would make you the weird lame-o guy

They couldn't sell it last time for what ever legal reasons. I think it will work this time. Also you need a flat bed truck and a crane to get it out of there,

Yeah, he doesn't seem too mentally balanced, makes a heck of a good cartoon show however. It seems like a lovely thing to switch around shell companies owned by the same people to avoid paying health care and standard wages, on what are already WAY too low to pay for professional artists working on television shows. I'm amazed at how many interns and $10 an hour people are working on shows, that seems impossible to me. I'm glad they have a union and hope it helps, lots of other industries should get them, like video games. null_user01013 fucked around with this message at 05:14 on Sep 17, 2014 |

One minute it’s just work as usual, the next minute there’s a walk out. Okay. Cool. Those union reps really know how to get people worked up and pissed off. Again, totally unnecessary on a show like ours. I LOVE AND CARE ABOUT MY CREW. If I knew they were unhappy we would have done something about it. It's almost like he's a broken, managed asset whose every interaction with everybody is guided and overseen by Dan Harmon. gently caress, he managed Chevy Chase for years before he went apeshit, but Roiland's gonna sink in under two?

"Rick and Morty" evolved from a parody of "Back to the Future" where time travel is powered by explicit onscreen pedophilia. That's a thing.

# ? Sep 17, 2014 05:18 |

I'm sure he is basking in some type of "I made it" glow, where he is just an insufferable prick to people, but even without that, I'd find it hard to believe he would chat with the artists like that and they would tell him, of all people, what they did and didn't like about working there. When some people get fame like that, they just explode for a bit and hopefully it doesn't last long, but I'd imagine it is a hard thing to adjust too, more so for a guy who was just doing edgy gross out humor and web stuff to amuse himself. "Suck my balls Morty" is funny, I mean, come on.

CelticPredator posted:I like Typical, and the other R&M cast members calling that article a pile of poo poo. At gun point? But it is clear in his comments on reddit, that he is more upset about the way the union handle it, not that they didn't want to pay them fairly and treat them well. But knowing the industry and adult swim, I'm surprised those cheapskates pay for anything and it doesn't help to bawk about it online.
