To clarify, Rams defense actually played well today, the problem is their offense is complete garbage. Defense was on the field a ton because of this, and one of the Vikings TDs came on D. They're a great unit in a bad situation, which is a curse in fantasy football.

I give: Martellus Bennett and Benny Cunningham

I get: Vernon Davis

I've got Eric Ebron on my bench behind Bennett, and my starting RBs are Spiller, TRich, and Bell. I've also got Gordon in the wings if he gets reinstated and the other guys got trash at everything but TE. I'm higher than most on Vernon Davis and he was drafted out from under me.

Do I lose out on too much if I give away Cunningham like that? He wouldn't even be considered for my lineup unless Richardson is topping out at 9 touches for more games.

To clarify further, Chris Long got hurt partway through the game and never returned and the Vikigns attacked that side of the line mercilessly. Patterson's TD and I'm pretty sure all of AD's big gains were to the right side. I don't know how bad his injury is, someone accidentally stepped on his ankle in the trenches. It seemed like he may have been able to come in if he needed to but it turned into a blowout real quick so they just shut him down.

That being said, an offense that can't stay on the field that constantly gives their defense bad field position is a factor you have to take into account.

quote:

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (ankle, foot) consulted with three foot/ankle specialists and received different opinions, but all agreed no surgery is needed at this time. His injury is called peroneus longus tendon and it lies behind the peroneus brevis tendon. The tendon wraps down and under the foot by way of the cuboid bone. The options are having him wear a walking boot for two to three weeks to strengthen the muscle before returning, or not wear a boot and play in Week 1 against the San Diego Chargers Monday, Sept. 8. The team could brace the arch/foot and test him in pregame warmups. More info on it here: http://www.methodistorthopedics.com/peroneal-tendon-problems

For the love of god Cards, just let him loving rest.

Up 16.4 with his Keenan Allen left. We're both the highest point scorers this week in our league by a wide margin, which is just how Fantasy Football works.

I left Moreno and Hopkins on the bench for Gerhart and Hopkins :suicide:. Silver lining is at least I grabbed Moreno in like the 13th round.

Let's not pretend that Martin wasn't a rising fantasy name the last few weeks, especially after the trade. He played like poo poo yesterday and got hurt, true, but as a third round pick, he was/is definitely worth the risk. He can't be this bad all the time, right?!

Mankins getting hurt doesn't help which was a big reason for his recent uptick in draft position.

Not to mention he looked on the exact same path he was on last year (2-9pts a game)

Also, let's not forget that last year the Panthers had the #2 rushing defense. I'm not making excuses for Doug, just saying that it's too early to throw in the towel.

To sign them is my real test

With full no movement clause
Patterson, Pitta, Garcon, Harvin, and Cooks, West and Hyde (bench) all score 10+ but Rodgers, DT, and Charles, combine for 16 points and now unless Ryan Mathews, Weddle, JPP, and Stevie Brown outscore Floyd, Stafford, and Calais Campbell by 3 I'm hosed.

Apparently half of the Chiefs' D died yesterday. Doesn't make me feel great as a Charles owner. Not panicking since it's Jamal loving Charles and he's the only weapon they have but I was hoping to get out from under the "amazing RB on a god awful team" rock I had last year in this same league owning Peterson. First world fantasy problems.

Still going to win my matchup in that league since my opponent trotted out Doug Martin and Gerhart at RB :v: Unless his Victor Cruz puts up 35 points and my kicker puts up 0 tonight. He had Manning and the 49ers D too so I'm pretty pumped to have gotten away with a win on (hopefully) Charles' worst game of the year.
