I'm assuming the cop with the decent camera is taking pictures for record keeping and to be displayed in court, etc. The cellphone pic is surely just for a giggle.

My guess is that either the pic we have or the cell phone pic is for the guy himself. Not gonna lie, if I just took a knife to the face, and I was stable enough to sit up and not have blood pouring out of my skull, I want a copy of that poo poo. That fucker's going up over the mantle.

Not necessarily. The patient cam consent to the photos or they can be taken in a way that still leaves the patient as anonymous (although it will be hard to claim the patient in this photo could remain anonymous, since his face is part of the photo). Anyways, lighten up, Francis.

eithedog posted:Yeah - that crossed through my mind as well, and the redness is visible; still the question - why and what does it represent? I know this is a few pages late but the palm thing is a very simplified version of a natal chart in astrology. Twelve houses total and a sign to a house then the sun and moon sign in the upper right. (edit:) Now that I look closer, those are just symbols of "sun & moon" and don't actually signify a sign for said positions in the chart so this is quadruply stupid from an astrological standpoint, never-mind a tattoo design standpoint. Realistically this is poorly executed since there are no planetary symbols in there. Additionally there shouldn't be any repeated sun signs when you're going around the houses. The center four symbols are without meaning presuming this is a horribly hosed up version of the kind of chart you'll build in this book. Bizarrely, porn stud Anthony Rosano has a pretty well executed natal chart on his left(?) arm if you're wanting to see what this should look like. Edit2: to head this off early, lets not turn this into a discussion of why astrology is stupid, shall we? It's a dumb tattoo, carry on. MC Hawking has a new favorite as of 17:44 on Sep 11, 2014 |

I know Batman is supposed to be grieving the city, but the way he has his hand to his forehead kind of makes it look like he is the one who caused this destruction and is just now realizing "Oh poo poo, how the hell am I gonna get out of this one?" Also when I first looked at the Captain America one I didn't see Bin Laden's head and I thought that Cap was standing triumphantly beneath the chaos he has wrought. In other words, I'm looking at two tattoos of Superheroes who possibly caused 9/11.

Can any Americans weigh in on how likely someone would be to get shitstomped for wearing that "Raining Men" 9/11 tattoo out and about? Its clever and everything, but I have to believe there would be at least one person everywhere you go in public in the US willing to kick your rear end for memorializing the joke on your flesh. For content, here's a tattoo that includes almost every cliche I think of including a crown, a rose, a heart, and a banner with script:

In the cities, the worst you'd get are dirty looks or someone picking a fight with you at a bar. In the country, you probably should just wear long sleeves.

Probably from uniformed military. Mostly you would get passive aggressive stares and scoffs, though. Also possibly murdered. Content:

I feel like the "911" has nothing to do with September 11th and is actually a way of taunting the old widows he descends upon like some kind of hillbilly Richard Ramirez.

I'm not sure how it would be in other states though.

Continuing a silly derail but, counting the Sun and Moon, there are actually 5 of the 7 classical planetary symbols present and a 'descending Lunar node' symbol. The rest are a meaningless (even for astrology) jumble of zodiac symbols with Cancer appearing 4 times and Virgo and Scorpio both twice. Love to know what they thought they were doing.
