But only in the cutscenes. You only play as Gat or Kinzie.

But I knew you guys wouldn't do that, haha

So if I play it on PS4 or XBone I have to buy SRIV and get at least as far as unlocking customization if I truly want My Boss.

Hell yes I'll take another excuse to play SRIV again.

Although you'd be missing out on the hilarity that would occur when it grabs your save file from a year ago and pulls whatever abomination you came up with back then in a post-game idle hour and forgot all about in the meantime.

Is having Gat and Kinzie the player just a direction you guys decided to go in or was it an issue with getting all the voice actors together again? I am going to assume the former because Saints Row without Laura Bailey just doesn't seem right to me.

Will there be any unlocks from SRGat that carry over into SR4, or is it going to be up to the modding community to implement the new content in SR4?

Start that poo poo in prohibition era, move on to say the McCarthy era 50's then maybe the 70's?

But no superpowers. It was fun for a lark.

EDIT: I think this comes from how entertained I was from the Boss wandering through a leave it to beaver episode in SR4.

It would be a lot of assets to generate, but I think that would be the best evolution of a open world game, to see the city (Stillwater) change over different time periods, so the city layout wouldn't change but you'd see it in the 1800s, 1930s, 1970s and future or something.

I'd say it's not impossible (although a lot of work, and that amount of variety means there's not a lot of opportunity to pack it in with SR2 levels of detail), plus then you could throw in Cyberpunk Future Stilwater and keep the superpowers for people who wanted it.

80's Stilwater gives you the power to shoot neon energy bolts and take out crowds by forcing them to participate in dance routines, Moonwalker style.

The Boss's superpower is the ability to make sound. You create havoc by running around yelling curse words and playing hits of the 80's, and everyone is powerless to stop you.

And what about the earthquake and gentrification of the Row? :colbert:

I feel like this could work if you did it like, oh whoops, Pierce dropped the time machine, now every district of Stilwater is stuck in another time period. Downtown is black-and-white 1920s, Saints Row is Ultor's ultra-gentrified distopian cyberpunk future, the university is the 60s (Shaundi is trapped here, for a certain definition of "trapped"), suburbs the 50s, trailer park becomes a Western town, red light district is the 70s, casino and industrial areas are different flavours of the 80s, around the edges there could be a colonial settlement, a pirate ship, an alternate future where the Zin rule the area, and so on. Each era would have its own gang and vehicles, of course.

It's a standalone DLC. Magnet gun or something like that.

It's not quite a gravity gun as anything you grab will attract other stuff to a certain limit.
