I enjoyed the feel of the 6 I picked up for a coworker today, while trying to sort out my bosses preorder. Then he stuck an Otter Box on it. It was almost as big as the plus and the screen protector makes the screen look dim and it was a lot less responsive. I feel like this forum and otterbox users probably aren't the same demo but man those things seem to be going out of their way to sap the cool out of a device.

A buddy of mine has had the biggest bulkiest Otterbox on his 4S for years now and is almost definitely going to get one when/if he upgrades to a 6. He's even considering a 6 Plus which will equate to him carrying a brick around at all time. They really butcher the look and feel of the device beyond comprehension. Any appreciation for design or aesthetics goes completely out the window.

I was forever a dude who laughed at the thought of owning and using a giant phone like the Galaxy Note, so it's pretty funny and a bit confusing how I ended up ordering a 6+ for myself. I told myself I'd never get a big screen phone, that I didn't like big phones, that over 4.5" is ridiculously large for a smartphone, and that there isn't really a practical need for one. I still basically believe most of that, except for the fact that I bought 6+. Knowing how amazing iPhone displays are, I just couldn't resist getting the 5.5" size. When it comes to electronics, I don't really ever get excited but the iPhone has always been a special case. If it was any other brand phone I'd have likely picked the smaller one in a heartbeat, but it being an iPhone made it different. Back around the Steve Jobs era, it seemed impossible that Apple would ever even come out with a phone bigger than 4" or so, so I'd never had to decide whether or not to get a giant screen phone anyway. When it actually happened, I surprisingly found it impossible to resist. I have an iPad but never use it, usually just using my iPhone instead since it's close at hand. I'm hoping the 6+ is going to get rid of my need for that iPad and I can just sell it. Most of what I do on my phone is web browsing and apps and photo/video, so that's what got me to decide the larger screen might be a nice luxury to have. Also, that hardware image stabilization sounds awesome since all my pictures are always loving blurry. If I was on the phone the majority of the time I'd have gotten the regular 6 in a moment. However, being a big web user, the thought of how amazing web pages will look on that 5.5" screen I'll have with me 24/7 was just too alluring. The jump from my 4's screen to my current 5 was wonderful, and that was only slightly bigger. So I think I'm really gonna enjoy the 6+. I've become a giant phone owner somehow, after never thinking it possible. Thanks Apple. I'm just really hoping I don't come to regret it, though. I am not a large guy and I don't have large hands. I already know it's going to look ridiculous when I use it given my small frame, but I don't care about that all that much. I'm more worried it's just going to be just too large and unwieldy for use in my small hands, and to fit clothes pockets. If so, I'll probably end up returning it to the Apple store for a normal 6. Getting really annoyed with iTunes. I noticed last night that when you delete songs manually from your phone, when you sync your phone iTunes re-adds these songs. What is the point in that? More to the point, can I stop it doing that? Why can't we delete full albums with one swipe? Another thing I've noticed, if you drag an album into your phone on iTunes, then before it's done syncing, add another, it stops adding the first album. What's the deal with that?

My friend had a similar issue with Fleksy, but he said a reinstall fixed. However, I imagine you've already tried the IT solutions from restarting and reinstallating.

Reviewers are pretty irate about the 6 not having high enough numbers (8mp camera, not full HD) After all, who cares about stuff like oversaturation, poo poo picture processing and grey blacks when the numbers are bigger?

So I picked up my new iPhone 6 yesterday, did an iCloud back up, come home from the Apple store and plugged it into my PC and theres already 1.6 gigs of loving OTHER on it. What the drat hell. I mean, I know this is a thing thats been happening for awhile now but its a brand new phone. That can't be right can it?

I didn't notice any Apple cases, just the normal 3rd party ones. I was at the BB near me about 8pm last night and their selection was pretty picked over. If they had any, they were sold outta them.

I've been swapping between swype and SwiftKey and I can't decide which one I like more. I think Swype is a little better for typing and the keyboard itself is better but SwiftKey has that seamless language switch which is oh so nice. I hate having choices  Also, my photos were working yesterday but now the photos tab is completely empty so I'm just going to ignore all icloud crap until October, i guess. My opinion on "sizegate", not that anyone cares. If you're coming from a 4s or a 5/5s and you thought it was a good size, go with the regular 6. Seriously. At least go hold each phone before you order one. My last iPhone was the 4s and I left for Android for two reasons. First, the screen felt way too small. Small enough it bothered me a lot on a regular basis. The other reason was my first phone was an Android phone and I was really missing Swype. Obviously, once Apple announced bigger phones and third party keyboards, I was excited to come back. My phone was an HTC One M7 (4.7in.) and I felt like I could go bigger. I got my case yesterday and have been keeping it in my pocket to test the size and it feels fine. I'm a guy who is 5'9" and a size 36 jeans, so I'm not tiny but not super huge either. I wear normal fitting jeans, not skinny but not huge. The case fits in my front pocket just fine, doesn't stick out, and it's not terribly noticeable. It's also way thinner than even expected, which probably helps with my not noticing it as much. Granted, I don't have have the phone yet so maybe the weight will bother me, but that's pretty unlikely. Of course, I had to order in person at a sprint store so I could change my month payments and get out of my contract (Overall, it's worth it) so I will get my phone anywhere from today, to six weeks from now  On another note, the feature I'm most excited for is the slow-mo video. I play softball 3-5 days a week and I'm incredibly excited to be able to film my teammates batting because a person swinging a bat looks great in slow-mo (And watching is a great way to fix your swing). I was going to get a GoPro for this silly project, but hopefully this will suffice and save me from buying yet another toy I don't need.

Anyone having issues with the top notifications not going away and you can't push them up? They go away if I table tap the home button and it takes me to the wheel thing where you can quick change to recent apps/contacts. It's not constant either and I haven't really noticed a pattern. On an iPhone 6 if it matters

I got a chance to put my mitts on the 6 last night, it's definitely big but not OMG HUGE big. The advantages to the additional size outweigh the downsides.. bigger keyboard is better for big fingers, everyone loves more pixels, and the phone looks pretty darn good too. Passes the pocket test too so that's also good. Still happy with my 5, so all there is to do now is wait one more year for the even better 6.
