Pretty much the only thing of substance that Mitt did in the primaries and the general was say how wrong he was to work with Democrats, and how if elected he would undo anything Obama had done and say no to anything liberals wanted.

What I find most interesting about that is that Romney's entire platform was literally "I am not Obama." I figured the right should have remembered John Kerry's disastrous "I am not Bush" campaign and how well that did. That and his "well I have a plan but I can't tell you what it is until I'm in office but trust me it's a really, really good plan that will fix everything."

My dad voted for Mitt Romney, a politician he pretty much despises, for what essentially boiled down to the fact that he wasn't Obama.

Don't forget his totally awesome Medicare plan that was so great that for some reason it was a selling point that people already in Medicare or near Medicare age wouldn't have to use it.

I'd still trade a Kerry defeat for 2 terms of Obama, something that almost assuredly wouldn't have happened otherwise. Also, I can't listen to Kerry talk for more than 5 seconds without getting bored.

If Kerry had won in 2004, there's no chance he would have been reelected post-financial crisis and we would be in the second term of McCain/Palin. I have to say that Kerry losing is one of the best things that ever happened to this country.

Pretty sure McCain wouldn't have picked Palin as his running mate if he was going up against two white guys.

And then Palin would not have been catapulted into the public spotlight where we can use her as an endless source of humor. Would you want to live a world where we couldn't watch Palin make a fool of herself daily?

Of course. I had seen that one before, but to my recollection, he was in a regular suit before rather than black tie. Maybe just seeing it in context helped whereas before all attention was on the iron ave wrist.

It's interesting. Most of the time it has an awkward :mitt: feel going on. The closest we get to seeing him let his hair down is right at the beginning when he's sledding with his grandkids, but even then it feels a little bizarre.

His response to a grandson being afraid to hit a pole on the slope is to say "Well just jump off if you're heading toward it" ave shoving him down the hill. I think the kid is even saying "Noooooo" too.

2. Herman Cain

Because he's hilarious.

3. John Bolton

Because he has a boner for nukes more than anyone in the world and if a Republican has to win then gently caress the human race, we all deserve to die.

Rick Santorum
