Even though I dislike white, I'll take the middle one. Speaking of which, how do Mustangs do in F-stock if drivers are all competent?

They win. Mustangs have been the dominant car in FS since at least 2005.

Since M3s have been bumped into FS, it's made it less of an American Iron class. Mustangs don't necessarily look graceful, but they get the job done.

I started off AutoX in a F-stock 99 SVT Cobra and eventually moved from street ties to Hoosier A6s. I was pretty untouchable in FS with A6s.

Thankfully the split classes with street tire/race tire with two different classes is this year only. Cause drat that causes a massive alphabet soup of classes.

Still running neck and neck for 1st in my region for ES. Took 2nd in this event. Still have a shot at first but I really have to win the next event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZkO__wlr4U Also took my new car to an autocross for the first time. I really liked it other than the lovely tires. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhwAF9mIgis I would have been nearer to the top of FS if it weren't for 500TW tires. As it was I got 3rd and was 3 sec out of first on a 60 second event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hkhb6t3r7lk

That course seemed to have a number of extremely narrow gates. My old CP car would not have been a lot of fun to drive on that. It was kind of a fatty.

Haha yeah it was pretty tight in places. I really liked the course design - if you were early and on line it was a great, flowing course. If you were late at all it really punished you, screwed for the next few elements. There was a 4th gen camaro that didn't have any problems, as well as a '74 nova with a 383 - there were a few tight gates, but nothing too bad. Our lot is getting bad though, we're designing the courses around the horrid pavement.

One of the things I learned about nats winners is how good their braking is, especially in sweepers. Driving the same car, I can keep pace with one of our ftd guys in technical stuff but he picks up so much time on me in trail braking in high speed parts.

I'll try to edge it in a bit next time, but unfortunately I'm 6'4" so lowrider leaned back is pretty much the only seating position in a vette where my helmet is not smashing the roof.

Try a CG lock. I have headroom issues in my E36. But when using a CG lock, I can anchor myself into the seat so hard, I gain an inch of headroom.

I had an interesting day a michelin proving grounds. Was sliding a bit in a large back sweeper. Probably a 60mph drift or so. Hit two cones and heard a loud BANG. Car didn't drive right after that. Limped back to paddock and found a snapped in half lower control arm. Didn't expect that out of an M3. I'm going to take it into the lab at my work after I take it off but it loos like it may have had a material defect. Will post pics and video later.

The vette club is way less formal, and the courses are less technical with longer straights and such. Downside is they don't run the two sessions like FAST does, so when the first and second run groups are large you're basically there all day. But there were some really cool cars the last time I was out with them, including a ~59 vette, some older camaros, and some formula whatever track cars.

I have 500tw tires so it's not like they should have had that much force on them. It was also in a steady state drift. Not like there was any impulse loading.
