I found a preview of Cross Ange and immediately recognized Akiko Shikata as the composer of the music. I'd almost watch it for that alone if the show isn't completely terrible it probably is

So, basically the Mahouka 2.0 thread? Also, I'm interested in knowing who did the character designs, because while reading that article (no icon big enough, by the way), the way one of the characters looked reminded me of C.C. for some reason. e: I've been told off like that more than once. Often with hilarious results!

Was looking at cross ange's production team and yeah, I dont get why anyone would think this was going to be good. Like the director has some good work but its almost exclusively as a key animator and in some rare cases as a story board guy. The producers only noticeable job in the last decade was gundam seed. The writer has worked mostly on the script of children shows and must have some pent up issues because he wrote a manga called Vita Sexualis. -really the only good thing that will be wasted here is the singer/songwriter with Akiko. drat shame too, its exactly the same with last seasons Mahouka and its composer Iwasaki. On another note, I just finished binging Barakamon. I know Nozaki is the currently the ADTRW favorite among summer comedies but I think Barakamon might have been my favorite for the season, if not the year. I'd say it perfectly fits as the Silver Spoon replacement for the season, and it constantly made me think back to last year's Kyousogiga (if you haven't watched it, do so right now). It was adorable, heartwarming, and utterly hilarious. I had a smile on my face the whole way through some of the later episodes, a feat even Nozaki didn't manage. It's seriously one of my personal contenders for show of the year.
