There is a scene where Ron Paul is trying to close the sliding door of a minivan for about 30 seconds and can't do it, so Rand steps out of the front seat and does it for him.

"I was watching Fox News earlier today and Alan Colmes level some fairly harsh and, I thought, inappropriate criticism toward you..." ~ person at Rick Santorum campaign event. This documentary is fairly sympathetic to Santorum, which is understandable because I think only he and Michele allowed them full coverage of their events and there's an obvious narrative arc with Santorum coming from last place to win the Iowa Caucus.

ReidRansom posted:The whole imperial system is pretty dumb, honestly. And I'm not sure whether the Brits are dumber for using both simultaneously for different things with no apparent reasoning as to what gets what, or if we in the US are for being officially metric but not even committing to half assing it like the Brits do. how can you say america isn't half assing metric conversion when every prescription medicine you've taken in the past like 20+ years is metric measured (except liquid ones which are sometimes in ounces/teaspoons/etc); when the soda bottles on the store shelves go like 12 ounce - half liter - 20 ounce - liter - 2 liter; when people brag about their cars having 5 liter displacement or whatever which is great for hitting 0-60 in 3 seconds; etc theres basically tons of metric stuff splattered over american products as the main measurement. the cool thing is that all "anarchy" named ideologies lead to the same end game: if noone else resstablishes a state on their own, all the various anarchist groups from anarchist socialists to anarchist capitalists have to live together because none has authority over another and then eventually someone does establish a state, and since they have state management of resources they can and will go around grabbing up anything the remaining anarchists have and keeping it for themselves.

Ugh, I've been dragged into a religious argument on Facebook for the first time in my life. I thought I could keep myself from making such a stupid mistake by only friending people who aren't stupid as gently caress, but then a friend of a friend posted something about how Muslims in America need to come forward and denounce violence and before I know it I'm posting giant blocks of text one after the other. It's so dumb, but I can't stop and I can physically feel the shame staining my soul.
