Samus plays well. I've had to adjust though because her grappling beam only works with the L-trigger, and I'm so used to for years using R-trigger for it. edit: I didn't realize you could re-map buttons... that'll fix that!

PK Fire is still amazing, the throws are super great killing moves again, his down air kick is crazy fast and still powerful, even the yoyo is really good now. Basically all of Ness' moves are as good as they've ever been except maybe the back air, which I've been having some trouble landing (it still kills at low percents though). Cool, most of my kills with ZSS were just wearing the opponent down then flip kicking all day. I'll probably pick the game up later after giving it a try on a friend's 3DS to see if I like the controls. It has download play right?

I am terrible and struggling to get a 10 hit combo in training. Is there an easy way to cheese this? Edit: as soon as I posted I did it with Kirby in the boxing ring by just mashing A while the opponent was against a wall. Asnorban fucked around with this message at 20:40 on Oct 3, 2014 |

I convinced a friend of mine who works as an assistant manager at a GameStop to throw a launch day tournament and I came in second.  I also learned that Little Mac is legitimately a bona fide shitwrecker, which makes me happy because he is the one character I've been super hyped about.  The only thing that messes me up is his side-B throwing you into recovery if you don't land on anything solid, which has flat out killed me a lot, but I'm having a blast overall.

In some lobbies, though, it was actually really playable. It's just dependent on everyone's upload speed, probably, and one person's bad connection will ruin it for everyone else. On another note: I am really digging Smash Run, but I'm a little upset that the game chooses the parameters of the final battle for you. It's like it doesn't trust us with the responsibility -- or want us to play for more than a minute with our boosts. Unless it's an option that unlocks later, like extra rules or random stage switches. That'd be nice.

Fair word of warning for those taking on the last form of the secret boss in classic mode. They will have the same equipment that you put on your character including special effects like regen.
