I'm looking for a good men's bathrobe. Something lightweight; more for comfort than warmth. If it's on amazon that's a plus.

Color or material isn't a huge deal, I like hotel bathrobes though so maybe something like that.

If you want wireless, I have a G602 and it's pretty much the same feel as a 518, slightly heavier due to batteries.

I have to buy a modem/router for my new house but haven't purchased one in ages.
Looking at this right now but no clue if it's worth the price:
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-SURF...odem+and+router

I see they are all rated for speeds WAY higher than I can get in my area (50 MB/s) so should I buy a cheapo one or is that pretty standard?

MEGALA---WHO??!!??
As winter is coming I'm looking into exchanging my usual Bald head/Baseball cap look for a woolly hat my only problem is I often like to listen to music when I walk places and can't wear inner ear headphones (my ear is all mangled and they don't fit) are any of the hats with built in headphones any good? or does anyone have another solution I would prefer just a classic black beanie style or a beanie with a peak.

Cheers guys.

I'm not sure how they feel with a hat putting pressure against your ears but clip on headphones might work pretty well. KSC-75's from koss are pretty cheap (~$15) and sound pretty great.

Speaking of headphones (which I know gets exhausted every other page of this thread), I'm selling my Sony MDR-X10' because they are extremely uncomfortable for more than 20 minutes. That being said, I'm looking to spend less than $150 to replace them (flexible on price) with comfort and build quality being the emphasis. I'm not an audiophile. I'm considering earbuds and on-ear phones.

How is Sol Republic, like the Tracks Air and Tracks HD? Also I know most goons are very anti-Beats, but are they at least comfortable and solidly built?

Why are they uncomfortable exactly? Too hot? Too much pressure on the ears?

Yeah it's pressure. They pretty much just flatten my ears, especially the top, and finicking with the size doesn't help. After a while I get a headache. :( I bought into a lovely Best Buy sales rep when I bought them. ("They're cool like Beats but way better!!")

Since I decided I hate them, I was at the Apple Store the other day and tried on a few pair of headphones and pretty much all of them were miles more comfortable than the Sonys.

Well one reason would be that all the headphones on display are used and have been stretched. If you *want* to try to salvage your headphones, you can try stretching them out a little bit by placing some books or something inbetween the ear pads over night so that the headband flexes a bit. Obviously, don't over do it or you could have a pair of headphones that won't stay put.

Okay, I've learned my lesson. No more A$10-20 earbuds. One ear would inevitably stop working after 3-5 months. What's a durable set of earbuds? I mostly listen to podcasts, so the quality doesn't need to be super high, but I need them to last more than 5 months. Years, if it's possible. Also, can the earbuds not go deep into the ear canal? I feel uncomfortably deaf when wearing those.

Most of the time I listened to my iPod while it's in my pocket, next to my phone. Usually either when I'm walking between classes or on any public transport. Does this hurt the earbuds?

All of the earbuds tested on this link (except for EarPods) go into the ear canal. I'm looking for 'earbuds' that stay in the outer ear. What would you call those kinds of earbuds? Sorry for being unclear.

Target and Kohls sell microfiber heated throws/blankets for about $30-$40 dollars. They make great Christmas gifts too.

I'm confused I guess. I break headphones down into two main categories. Those that go into the ear (earbuds) and those that don't (over the ear headphones). I'm not familiar with earbuds of varying depths.

Earbuds kinda rest against the ear canal, like so:

The in-ear kind have a silicone tip that actually gets inserted a tiny way into the canal:

It's almost like an earplug that plays music, so it has the benefit of blocking outside noise and getting better sound at a lower volume. This is also a negative in some situations like toanoradian mentioned. I don't wear mine at work, for example, because they're too effective and I can't hear anything around me. Also they get uncomfortable after they're in for a bit.

e: diagrams are from here, which goes on to show a few other things about over-the-ear headphones.

Beard trimmers won't work for body hair. Look for the word 'clipper'.

Andis clipper (don't get an edger or outliner for body hair) if you want to buy a good one. Whatever plug in conair if you are in walmart or cvs and can't be arsed to go anywhere else. Don't buy anything with a massive amount of guides and accessories. #1 #2 #3 guide is really all you need for body hair.

Andis also sells clippers for large animals if your hairs are destroying normal clippers.

My hydroflouric alkylation unit just killed one of its HF recirculation control valve. It only had got a maximum of 30 PSI drop across it and it's at 60°F, with a cv range of about 2 to 24. Anyone have any decent experiences with either the Fisher or Masonielan? I hear CCI has something for this as well, but I'm not sure if there's a 'goon approved' option for an HF Alky throttling valve.

Shutoff isn't necessary, I've got block valves on either side of it. I'm thinking either a Fisher EZ-HF or Masonielan 21000.

EDIT: Forgot, budget is around $10K, but I'd be willing to do $15,000 if it were a little more reliable or got me closer control.
