i got enslaved: odyssey to the west and its: ok. the story is pretty dumb. the ending is literally "the matrix." the gameplay is a bit shallow, but its well paced i guess.

Alien game is fun to watch people play at least also basically did a perfect job of nailing the alien aesthetic and atmosphere it seems like the alien is just way way too persistent/omniscient/omnipresent on high difficulties though; it looks like the alien is permanently leashed to you at some max distance so you can't ever actually lose the thing for a good while by being a master sneak person. If you ever really leave it in the dust it looks like it magically pops into the vent system so it can drop down into your general vicinity when you get far enough away. Also regardless of how far away you confirm the alien is, even if its distracted, it looks like its designed to beeline for you when you're doing plot related stuff like hacking systems or manipulating certain environment things (generators, torching doors, etc). I dunno if its predictable enough to manipulate speed-run style though

Yeah, let's just take our biggest money maker game and re-write it from scratch. Let's make it slow and add a bunch of distracting "casino" sounds and animations. And have it do dumb things like automatically buy into tables and crash all the time. Let's use stylish thin fonts everywhere that are hard to read as well. Why not?
