Wow, so not only do they ignore what the community had to say regarding that change, they also admit that only certain weapons had issues and that it'd cause problems for weapons like the tesla rifle that they'll fix later. And then on top of that they didn't bother to remove all those broken perks from the list. Did they just push the PTS update out the door or what?

I can't justify spending more money than I already have. R5 haven't done much to earn it as of late, and their unresponsiveness to player feedback makes me feel like they are moving towards a specific point for their content, and it's a our way or the highway motto. So I say chill out, wait 6 mos or a year, and then reevaluate. Counter point: another loving aoe nerf makes me feel like they have no idea what they are doing and are making it up as they go along. I don't know which is worse.

I'm surprised theres not a Casino in Dredge or Copa, seems all we do in this game is gamble. They are designing a new crafting system that can take the random out of prefixes.

If anybody has a massive supply of resonators from beta (like, thousands of them), there is currently a way to turn them into a lot of Broken Peninsula vouchers with time and, optionally, some red beans. Broken Peninsula vouchers can buy improved versions of some modules, as well as some special battleframe cores. If you have a massive stash, let us know in-game so we can convert them to vouchers.

Moving away from the misgivings of dissillusionised vets for a moment, is this game fun for a new player if you just want to waste a bit of time now and then? Any class thats particular useless and should be avoided?

There's actually quite a decent amount of content for a new player. When you first log in, do the initial tutorials and then log off. This will start a 24 hour countdown timer. You can then log in and continue playing. After the 24 hours are up, log in again for a free vehicle. The offer is only valid for a day after that initial countdown. If you miss the free vehicle, you will have to wait until you get to level 25 to earn it. The weakest class, in my opinion, is probably the Electron. It is an advanced frame, so you won't be able to unlock it unless you reach a frame to level 40, buy it with credits, or buy it with money. You start out with five basic battleframes, one for each archetype. You can switch between them at will, so find the one you like.

It works for me since I was looking for a new MMO for me to play. e: Actually, on that note, is there any trick to aiming crater? Sure it's hilarious using three afterburners and going as high up in the air as possible before crushing everything underneath you, but sometimes I just miss the mark because looking all the way down still isn't straight down. When I thought to combine it with afterburner I felt like some sort of loving wizard. Unfortunately, unless everything is aggroed on me and is trying to melee me from the ground, I always miss

It still does decent damage even from not ridiculously far up, and there are melee mobs that will gather under you even in the later game's missions, so it's still useful. There's also a version of crater called Shielded Crater which you buy from special vendors and craft yourself, and it makes a huge shield where you impact every time.

For an advanced frame the Electron doesn't improve upon the base very much. A shield of dubious usefulness, lackluster damage ability, useless support deployable, and an underwhelming HKM. The only reason I consider them even close in respective power is the Electron can use all the Engineers gear. Old Electron was a loving monster.

So, it looks like with the latest patch, Red 5 broke loot lockouts for Baneclaw / Kanaloa. If you DIDN'T complete Bane/Kana before the patch, you can now farm them for loot over and over. Probably won't get fixed until Monday or Tuesday, so have fun. Also, if you have a bunch of resonators from open beta, let me know in-game.

So for anyone interested in BP vouchers, and particularly people with a lot of crystite resonators (I'm looking at you Nipples), we're going to do a voucher farm thing in a bit tonight where we convert resonators to vouchers in BP at around a 4:1, resos:vouchers, ratio. Might start in an hour or two, not entirely sure (still coordinating others).

Well the long and short of the ArcheAge thing is this one guy got an underage girl to pose for naked for him some years ago while he was in EVE Goonswarm. Apparently he also posted some of those pictures to their forums and I have no idea why he wasn't kicked and banned back then but he kept on playing games with goons and it kept coming up. Now fast forward to ArcheAge where it is brought up again and for some reason that is beyond me just widely ignored until it popped up in the thread. SCT the then leader claimed he didn't know any of this and people came forward posting screenshots and the like proving that they have been telling him for the better part of six months and he had done nothing, at which point he switched to saying he thought it was a joke. People were fairly upset by this and declared bullshit on him and eventually someone else heard about it and actually kicked the guy. It doesn't stop there though, it turns out another guy on the inside was still playing with the guy and allegedly at some point tried to get an alt of his back into the guild. He was then kicked too but people still kept bringing it up, asking for one or the other to be reinvited because they liked them or some other reasons. Meanwhile most of the Goonsquad officers left to join the pirate faction in game after being guild pushed to fairly expensive ships and gear which also pissed some people off. Since this first became public on the forums here there has been a shitstorm of people just stepping forward in one way or another and being incredibly stupid, from arguing semantics to actually saying they don't care what the guy and various other things along those lines and being beaten down by every other person in the thread and tons of image macros and what have you. And this poo poo keeps happening at least once a week, thread will do fine then someone steps up and melts down, followed by pages upon pages of more image macros and people telling them how horrible they are. Meanwhile I'm sitting on a different server with a small group of people because I knew some poo poo would come up, I just never expected it to happen this quickly and be of this magnitude. Not sure what to make of all of this and also this is the short version there is so much more but I'm still sticking with this game because it's fairly fun and Red5 seem to try to make this game worse at every turn. Edit: I still want to get in on the detonator thing we should hook up some time.
