They introduced a new feature where one person comes up with the start of a riddle and the others come up with the answer to it. It has to be a completely new riddle, like "Why does a chicken hate to do laundry?".

That was actually it's fourth appearance. But the Riddle Me This theme song comes from that episode. It's episode 284 if you're looking.

Ladykiller (TAH's media company) asked us if we'd like to help give away 2 tickets to the Improv show in NY on Friday the 10th, if you're interested, there's a banner thing on fyeathrillingadventurehour.tumblr.com, you just have to put in your email address, tweet a thing then copy/paste the url of your tweet into a box. Not getting a ton of entries so your chances are pretty good! The show is almost sold out, standing room only, so, if you want to go and don't have tickets, this is a good way to do it!

Sooooo... the promo that Hal recorded for the crossover that went up the other day. There was an early version, in which he fucks up and kind of half-cries into the mic about how he can't even read a loving script right or something. It was amazing, but my podcast app deleted it as soon as it played, and then a 'fixed' version went up it seems. Is the original online anywhere? Does anyone have it, can they put it up anywhere?

It was a mistake that wasn't meant to be pushed to the podcast feed. I heard it but didn't keep it. The new "And Now a Word On Behalf of Ourselves" contains most of what was on the bad one, without the mess ups and swearing. I really want to talk about this morning's amazing episode but everyone should listen to it first.

This week's Sparks was amazing from start to finish. "Remove the sports ball!" Does this mean that Nathan's officially done with TAH? I really hope not, because he's always a lot of fun.

I think they did the thing where they gave Cactoid Jim's closure finally but left it open enough that he could come back. Apparently they can open up time holes in the 26th century now, and Jim said "Adios... for now!" so, it could go either way. In other REALLY BIG NEWS... Beyond Belief and Sparks Nevada are getting their own monthly comic books starting in February.

That's amazing news, and I'll be sure to buy at least the Sparks ones but..... Come on, NO Captain Laserbeam? He and Phillip Fathom are SUPERHEROES. They'd be perfect for a comic series.

Those are amazing news. Between the return of Twin Peaks and the TAH comics, it has been a pretty interesting day. Jordie Bellaire is an amazing colorist so I'm really looking forward to the Sparks Nevada series Maybe other stories can get backups eventually, to see if they can't support a full book.

This interview with Acker and Blacker says... Blacker: Sparks and Beyond Belief are the most obvious concepts to make the leap to comics, and that's why we did them first. But we have plans to translate all of the TAH properties and more. We love writing comics and we love the collaboration with the artists, editors, colorists and everyone involved. So hopefully we will be getting more stories. Also there's a couple of preview pages for the Sparks book. It looks like we're getting the origin story! SO excited for that.

I've got about 300 pictures from this weekend at NYCC up in an album here. Some personal type pics, but a couple from the booth (we weren't allowed to take pictures while working, really, so not many). Also some from Dead Authors with Paul and David Rees as William Butler Yeats, The TAH Improv show and panel, both the early and late shows at The Bell House from second row center, and the NYCC panel on Sunday that was released yesterday. A quick recap of an extremely crazy week... * Arrived to Dead Authors 15 minutes late and our suitcases in tow due to not understanding the difference between a subway and the train, so after getting to Penn Station we got on the train that took us way out to Jamacia station to Atlantic. Whoops. But Dead Authors was really amazing and hilarious live. The only thing I knew David Rees from was Going Deep with David Rees, which is hilarious but he's a weird introvert type on that show. He wasn't at Dead Authors. I'll spoiler tag two words that made the entire thing worth it: limerick battles. Luckily we had reserved seats because of being volunteers so I still got some good pictures. * Working at the booth was actually really fun most of the time. I can now describe exactly what TAH is and why people should listen to it in one minute or less and sell the hell out of some graphic novels and posters. If you were at NYCC and came by the booth anytime in the middle of the day any day there's a really good chance we met. It was exhausting but a lot of fun. It was really great watching teenage girls freak out about meeting the cast especially. * There was one adorable 12-ish year old girl who was a huge Night Vale fan that came by to ask where the Night Vale booth was while Hal was doing a signing. So I squatted down to get eye level with her and pointed out Hal sitting at the signing part of the booth and said "Do you know who that is? That's STEVE CARLSBERG!" and the thrill and fear in her eyes was the most amazing thing. I kind of shepherded her over to the booth and even though they weren't supposed to do pictures, it was slow at that point so after signing her little card thing Hal came out from behind the booth and gave her hugs and got his picture taken with her. She said she'd written an article about WTNV in her school paper so Hal had her mom tweet it to him so he could read it. She was crying and shaking, it was the cutest thing. I told her mom to bring her back in an hour, and they did, when Mark Gagliardi was signing. So then I told her that John Peters... you know, the Farmer? was there and again with the shaking and crying. Mark also took a picture with her (it'd gotten slow by that point, too) and she came back over to show us his autograph, and he'd signed it "Mark Gagliardi... you know the farmer?" and was the happiest thing on earth. Seriously, that little girl made the entire thing worth it if it hadn't been already. * The signings for Autumn Reeser, Janet Varney and Paget Brewster were all INSANE. Like with all the other signings there'd be a line in the beginning and about half way into the signing the line would be gone and it'd mostly be a steady trickle of people for the rest of the hour, people could have as much as they wanted signed or whatever. After Autumn had some autograph sellers get rude with her when she wouldn't sign some swimsuit photos (ugh) we started clamping down on that stuff. There was an absolute mob for Janet Varney and a lot of those kids were rude and completely ignored Marc Evan Jackson, who was signing with her. As soon as we realized that there weren't very many TAH fans there compared to Korra, we started making EVERYONE who was in line listen to us talk about TAH for a minute when they were in the part of the line that passed by the booth, and that they knew who Marc Evan Jackson was and that he's kind of a big deal, too. There were a lot of mad Paget fans because by the time she did her signing Sunday after the panel, we'd started handing out bracelets. My friends and I weren't even supposed to work Sunday but we ended up working about 2 hours to help control the Paget mob and sell merch when someone had to leave for an hour. * The TAH improv show was amazing. I was on the edge of losing my voice all weekend from near constant talking to people at the booth but I actually did for a little while after the improv show from laughing so hard. Ted Leo turned out to be the guest monologist and he had some fun band stories. * I was at both Bell House shows and my big extended group of friends all snagged second row seats for both shows. I don't want to spoil too much (the pictures already spoil a lot) but the middle segment and Beyond Belief were the same that they performed at Largo last week, I believe, and the Sparks was brand new and written for this show. Plus there was a Bucatino business ad and uh, a similar ad I really hope they put on the podcast sponsored by Patriot Brand Cigarettes as well as a regular Patriot commercial. The second show was definitely looser and more fun, though both were amazing. We stuck around awhile afterwards and talked to most of the cast and the Bens. And oh yeah, that's Cecil Baldwin in some of the Beyond Belief pictures. There was a huge gasp and cheer when he came out. Symphony Sanders and Mara Wilson were in the audience for the second show, as well. * Panel stuff: Having the Bens talk about the wiki and the one guy compliment the booth workers during the panel was really nice. Kind of a nice topper to the weekend and helped ease the burn of learning about no more regular live shows. They cut bits and pieces out of the panel out of the podcast, and one thing was that Ben said they'd likely still do a show or two a year at conventions and such. It's not the end of the live shows forever and ever. Also there was a bit about the future of the podcast that was confusing so I asked for clarification in email last night and Blacker responded: quote:I suspect there'll be a short break once we run out of live-recorded podcasts, which will likely be June-ish. In that time, we'll definitely post lots of video content and other things to keep y'all occupied! We're going to figure out the best way to get the audio-adaptations out there, but they'll likely follow some months after the books too. Though, again, we're still working this stuff out. So if you can make it to Largo in the next few months, do it. I'm going to be at the March (10th anniversary!) show with literally a dozen friends. I don't know if I'll be able to get an April ticket (they're given away via lottery apparently) but I'm going to try. In the end I think we're going to get a lot more content than before, it might just be a rough couple of months in mid-next year.

Still listening to the recent fan panel. Really loved the shout out to the wiki and the exhortation to come make a pilgrimage to Largo in the next few months. Not sure the tour will include my city, so maybe I'll have to go to them...

The March tickets are already sold out so I think at this point if you're even thinking about going to any other show, grab a ticket and plan it quick. It's possible they'll add second shows, but who knows?

Well nuts. I sent an email a few days ago asking if the March date listed was going to be the anniversary show for sure and was waiting for a reply before I bought it. Guess I waited too long, which means my international trip will be moot unless I can find a friendly fan with an extra ticket. Now I feel crushed Thanks for the great NYCC write up and pictures, Annakie. Sounds like it was a great time!

Yeah, it's definitely Australia. I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of Porno Kangaroo. The slide also had like, Crocidile Dundee, Neutella, Vegemite, and a boomerang on it. Also, all the rest of the Largo shows are now sold out. There are some tickets for the March and April shows still being held back and will be released "later", maybe months from now, who knows. I think I'm going to get to go to the March and April show. Crossing my fingers at least. March for sure, I think I have a ticket for April, now just to figure out how to do that trip as cheap as possible.
