Since when is Philadelphia "the Capitol Region?" It's a 3-hour drive, with 2 states between them. That's just the East Coast.

Reminds me of this famously unfortunate picture of Debbie Harry () ...and they weren't even flesh colored.

Red_October_7000 posted:It's a few pages back but I feel I must bring this up again. Y'see, my dad travels to the capitol region on business with some frequency, so he's seen this statue before and of course noted what it looks like (there is or was a restaurant which provided the perfect view). However there is an added bonus that is not apparent from these photographs. When it rains, the water runs off the head of the ...document in such a fashion as to suggest that not only is Wm. Penn waving his dong about, but that he is also having a slash all over everyone... Where are you from? I have only once heard the term "having a slash" to mean pissing, and I am trying to figure out what region that weird phrase is from.

Unless you're Google Mapsing door to door City Hall to the White House or something. It takes longer to get to Harrisburg from Philly. New York's closer, but the whole trip is basically CYO Wasteland Highway; the Philly -> Wilmington -> Baltimore -> DC "zone" is a reasonably coherent area on a map (as in it's one big fuckin' city really). Comedy answer: Philly was the first Capitol.
