I agree that a prison setting would feel too much like Asylum, unless they really found a great story to tell around it. First thought is Alcatraz, but they just had that failed FOX show about it. Plus, I don't know if ghosts are their own are strong enough for the series given all we've gotten since season one. What if they did something in Hawaii?

Can Chiklis just not do an accent or what? Someone talking "normal" was kind of weird to hear.

Now that I think about it, has anyone from the freak show acknowledged Twisty at all? His murder van is in the middle of nowhere, and from what I remember (don't have the time to rewatch the episodes) the only scene of him in proximity of any of the others is when they murder the cop, which he was just observing from a distance. If he part of the troupe at all? His murder van looked overgrown with weeds and stuff, which would indicate that he's been there a lot longer than the others and that he's not part of the show.

gently caress I don't know, someone asked why a character doesn't have an accent. I hope they solve this "no accent" mystery by episode 5 or I'm out.

He didn't even run away at the sound of an approaching car. Did you see the clown's eyes? While he may not be actually terrified by Dandy, he certainly has a huge look of "What the gently caress is wrong with you, boy?".

I kind of took it as Twisty being confused by a behavior he's never seen before. People are usually either terrified (most of the time) or amused (some of the time) by him, but it's the first time Twisty's ever seen someone react to him like he's a toy or a lapdog. Or maybe Twisty just "gets" that Dandy is as hosed up as he is and he wants no part of whatever crazy trip Dandy is on, so he knocks him out and bails.

I kind of took it as Twisy felt acknowledged for once about someone really wanting to be entertained by him. And he had all those neat rear end toys in the chest too and wanted to share them. I think Twisty's character's weakness is that he wanted someone to give him that attention that he wanted, and he got it. And Dandy is just hosed up enough to appreciate the whole thing, which probably makes Twisty puzzled but also weirdly intrigued. All speculation, I guess.

If you're talking about the Open Wide teaser, that was not Twisty. AHS teasers seem to have nothing to do with the actual content of the season.

Yeah, they've always been more about flavor and atmosphere. The Asylum and Coven teasers never had any of the characters either.

I hope Emma Roberts' role consists of more than just 'pretty bitch'. From the pictures it looks like she's at least going to be cast in a beauty role. She's an attractive girl, no question, but I hope to see some more range for her part this season.

Me too, I wasn't thrilled with her last season, or that type of character in general, so I hope she really gets something different to do. So far she seems like freaky Velma and I like it.
