When I was a kid people would say the name of a fruit/vegetable and the person who couldn't think of a unique one had to do x thing. The nose thing seems like a much better way to keep track of who has done it and who hasn't!

Yeah, it was said somewhere in Homestuck that GHB had Dualscar executed because he couldn't make a funny joke. It's a pretty lovely reason to die, but I don't think I will feel particularly sorry for him.

There is Grade and then there is Position. Another example on the same page is Redglare being sent after Mindfang. Cerulean trumps Teal, but Redglare is delegated the authority to collect her (or Trolls could just be doing what they want) The other thing is what Equius went over regarding Gamzee during Hivebent: that surface dwellers and sea trolls were typically at war with one another (the in-fighting among the trolls was probably encouraged as much by the Empress as the Handmaid because the most noted unity of trolls rebelled against the Condesce)
