Yes and much like the first game it is an amalgam of all of the enemy weapons in this game.

Same, and I did all of the Muspelheims in 2 that I could find. Bayo 2 is just a better experience all around.

All three forms of Lumen Sage at once.
Loptr and both Aesir fights at once.
Bayonetta, Jeanne and Rosa all at once.
Balder, Rosa and Bayonetta all at once.

Did we even survive long enough to beat one of the enemies when we tried these?

Gotta do all of the verses to get platinum and alfheims count. I think they're great just for the sake of making you approach enemies differently. It's a shame the muspelheims are overall much easier than alfheims.

I gave up trying to Platinum a...well a Platinum game around Wonderful 101.

I could maybe have done it with Revengeance, I got decent at that game, but even at the Very Hard level I began to falter. At some point it just becomes too hard. I was proud enough to beat W101 on Hard mode. Hell, I'm satisfied with a Gold ranking in most cases.

Of course, I do get SOME platinums. I platinumed Stage 1 in Bayo 1 on hard, but that took quite a lot...

I found a list of all of the hidden verses on gamefaqs. Pretty useful if you're playing for rank.

code:
Chapter 1:
-Verse 1: Muspelheim. From the starting area, move across the big plaza and hang a left once you reach the submerged temple, the portal is in front of a closed gate.
-Verse 3: After the underwater fight in verse 2, continue on and stay on the left hand-side. Jump over the rubble to find a Muspelheim.
-Verse 4: After coming up out of the water, instead of continuing towards the Gates of Hell portal. Go in the other direction towards the dead end.
-Verse 5: At the plaza, there's a Muspelheim on the left hand-side, underwater under the archway. Not sure if it's there from the beginning or if you have to beat Verse 6 first. I missed this one in the video.
-Verse 8: After the Valiance fight, stay on the 2nd floor of the temple and move to the right hand-side for a Muspelheim.
-Verse 11: After Verse 10 is completed, backtrack to the main area of the temple where you freed Loki.
-Verse 12: Continue on after Verse 10, then at the area with the small bridge. Jump in the water and go towards the big open area.

Chapter 2:
Verse 1: Muspelheim. Go into the alley on the right at the area you start in.
Verse 3: Evade the tidal wave, then backtrack to where you fought the enemies of Verse 2.
Verse 4: After the little chat between Loki and Bayonetta, open the door, go inside a little bit(not necessary?) then go back outside towards the edge.
Verse 6: Near where the LP for Kafka spawns, open the 2 chests.
Verse 9: Muspelheim, in plain sight.

Chapter 4:
-Verse 2: Jump to the broken piece of building sticking out in the distance on the right after the Fidelity fight.
-Verse 4: Muspelheim on the side of the building, near the fighting area of Verse 3.
-Verse 6: Go into the little side-area on the right after the cutscene with Loki, then walk back out.
-Verse 8: Break the bench the couple is sitting on.

Chapter 5:
-Verse 2:From the starting area, go into the water then dive under a collapsed building on the right and rise up out of the water, jump on the small island with a Muspelheim.
-Verse 3: Instead of going up in the underwater tunnel, proceed further down to the dead-end
-Verse 5: After the room has flooded, you can reach a Muspelheim located on one of the balconies.
-Verse 6: After jumping out of the water, jump back in and swim to the bottom
-Verse 7: Go all the way around in the circular room, in the opposite direction of where the stairs are.
-Verse 8: Muspelheim at the top of the stairs.

Chapter 7:
-Verse 4: Muspelheim located in a small side-area, instead of going forward after Verse 3, go right, down the path.

Chapter 8:
-Verse 2: Muspelheim located in an enclosed room on the side of the building, look to the left after beating Verse 1 and you should spot an area you can jump to.
-Verse 6: After getting the remembrance pieces and returning back to Inferno, go all the way back to the platform you started the chapter on.
-Verse 8: At the waterfall where Loki creates a portal, there's an area behind it, also has an LP piece.
-Verse 10: Muspelheim located underwater, in the room before the big open room, on the side of the wall.
-Verse 12: Muspelheim after getting the remembrance pieces. Easy to spot.

Chapter 9:
-Verse 1: From the area you start in, look to the right and jump on the floating platforms.
-Verse 3: Muspelheim located at the temple-looking building, between some pillars.
-Verse 5: When standing in front of the broken stairs, look to the left. Jump on the platform in the distance.

Chapter 10:
-Verse 1: Muspelheim, go down the path on the left in the starting area.
-Verse 3: From the Verse 2 area, instead of going forward, go right and jump across the platforms onto the cliff.
-Verse 7: After verse 6, go up the elevated terrain on the right.
-Verse 8: After moving across the branch, go right and follow the path.
-Verse 9: Muspelheim, after moving across the branch it's in plain sight.
-Verse 11: After the Sloth fight, take a right.
-Verse 12: Activate the tree after the Sloth fight, then backtrack all the way to the beginning where you fought Phantom.

Chapter 13:
-Verse 1:In the first building you enter, instead of going right and moving outside, keep going forward into the side-room with the chest. Open it to trigger the verse.
-Verse 2: In the big open area with the fountain, go to the small shrine on the left to find a Muspelheim
-Verse 11: At the end of the narrow hallway, before the room with the crescent moon table, go behind the grating on the right. There's a hidden Muspelheim near the vases.

Chapter 14:
-Verse 3: Eh, not really hidden. Muspelheim after Verse 2 in front of the door. Hard to miss. :V

Chapter 15:
-Verse 7: Instead of going through the door after Verse 6, continue along the path to the left.
-Verse 8: Keep following the path and at the dead end, there's a hidden Muspelheim on the left.

Chapter 16:
-Verse 3: Outside, on the right of the steps leading into the big temple, there's a Muspelheim.

Thanks, I was using them on both hands and feet. I'll swap out the feet with swords and try.

One more general question: How do checkpoints work? Is it like W101 where you'd have to do chunks of verses before one or Revengence where checkpoints are before and after battles?

Did you used to have to use bat within in bayo 1 to enter witch time with Jeanne? Don't remember it being quite so tricky, and I definitely beat the game with her.

It's more than made up for by her turning into an absolute murder machine during umbran climax though.

If you're good at moth within Jeanne's only real weakness is enemies that grab you, like Fairness and Fearless & Greed. As far as I know she can't get witch time on attacks that grab you like that.

No, but there is a Verse Card that you fight Resentment in. Maybe they still use their baby attack in Tag Climax.

By the way, here's a tip for those guys. If you get turned into Babynetta, activate Umbran Climax if you have enough magic. You will change back into Bayonetta.

Oh I looked up dodge offsetting and all that. I need practice but even then, there's no way I can triumph in some of these Alfheims, it's just completely beyond my level. I'll try to Plat Bayo 2 and then go back to W101 before I try Bayo 1 again.

You get more Halos for good ranking and you need all platinums on Normal to unlock Jeanne. (There's an alternate unlock option though, though it requires a lot of Halos.)
