Anyone wondering where the optional ECHO logs for the space herps mission were, I went through the trouble of finding them without a guide as there was none I could find. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=333820403 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=333820414 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=333820423 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=333820434 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=333820440 Boy were they irritating to look for. They only glowed green (instead of being marked white or cyan) and it didn't help that the level was dimly lit, the infection covering your view was predominately green, and the room with the brain bugs was flooded with green light. As you can see from the screenshots, the glow on the ECHO recorders (except the first one as I had already listened to it) aren't very noticeable. At least they were in somewhat plain sight and not hidden high or out of the way but it was still way to hard to find. My eyes hurt from staring at the screen for so long.

Well, that does sort of already happen in the form of optional objectives that just finish themselves. Like for the grinder mission, the "Don't ask nicely for the parts" objective is automatically fulfilled because obviously you've gotta kill everyone to get them. I don't think they do just plain incompletable ones though.

A question about that wonderfully re-farmable Hyperion Contingency Armory that you get after fighting Zarpedon. If you leave the Eye of Helios, say to grind some guns, is the room still farmable?

No, the area is accessed through that place with the shield which is blown up and covered by rubble after the fight because of a plot thing, so you can't go back to the area at all after you leave.

Well it doesn't get blown up until you turn the mission in, so presumably yes you can go back? Maybe? I know the fight is not repeatable because you can't go back up to the arena after it's over, but the only way to know if the armory gets locked off if you just leave is to test it.

When you clear TVHM, everything scales to 50, plus Belly drops the Striker, a legendary weapon. It's not a great shotgun, but having a bunch of them means more blood for the grinder god. They also drop moonstones and there's a few chests in the area you can farm as well.

Speaking of moonstones, you can exploit the 30 free moonstones you get for each new character as a loyalty reward. Select "new game" but then select your existing save and it will automatically give you the loyalty reward pistol, shotgun and 30 moonstones again - you can do this repeatedly to keep farming the guns (they're blue so you can shove them in the grinder for purples) and the moonstones.

The guns, like Moxxi's Vibra-Pulse, will also be your character's current level or somewhere around there when you do this. I don't know what the bullpup's special thing is but boy is it a good shotgun! I think it's special quirk is that all of the shots project outward in a cone but unlike other shotguns, the spread determines the angle of the cone instead of the radius of it. But maybe that's just all Hyperion shotguns and I never noticed. Maybe its thing is that it's just a great drat shotgun.

Yeah that's what I suspected. Still the 30 moonstone and current-level shotgun/masher are nice (and so were the 10 moonstone and shotgun I got until I reset my profile because the game failed to recognize my BL2 savegame at first - so good the BL2 profile editor still works...)

I have 9000+ BAR already because ive just played loads. I do go out of my way to complete some stuff though, I like doing the area specific stuff, it's an extra layer of completionism. Has anyone else noticed the physics occasionally going a bit whiffy? I've noticed that every now and then when I headshot the big bandits with the old fashioned space helmets (outlaws?), they'll suddenly go flying upwards and off the map at extreme velocity. It's very entertaining to watch but buggers me if they drop anything I want.

From what I could tell, killing Deadlift without jump pads only works the first time you face him (or maybe it's just not on TVHM).

I believe that challenge is only obtainable during the story mission despite the fact that there are two other challenges you can get from fighting Deadlift any other time. Really, the location specific challenges in this game are a lot more irritating and difficult to get compared to BL2. A lot of those challenges can only be obtained during the story mission and sometimes you have a short window of time to complete them. There were time where I had to quit the game and replay the level and backtrack to get another chance to complete the challenge. I'll even admit that I used cheat engine after a few regular tries because it became tedious restarting and rushing back through the level. The Poopdeck challenge was very irritating given how far into the level I had to backtrack and figuring out how to kill him before the door did. Singularity grenades didn't seem to affect him so I had to just kill him quickly which was easier said than done. In the end, I used cheat engine to increase my gun damage 1000 fold or so because it got annoying after several long runs. The most difficult challenge I've come across so far which I have given up trying to complete is the one where you escort Felicity and keep her from killing any scavs. Sounds simple except for the fact that she can OHKO the scavs, has a long quick lunge that can also strike enemies, and the scavs only show up when Felicity is well within striking range. Short of spamming very high damage grenades or rockets with a large damage radius, this challenge is next to impossible in normal play. The only irritating challenge I remember from BL2 was the save the turrets challenge which only could be completed once during the story mission. However, it wasn't impossible to accomplish as long as you killed the surveyors quickly as they were the only enemies that seemed focused on destroying the turrets.

RK5 on normal mode was, I think, the biggest challenge that I have had so far in the game. I'm about to fight the endboss of TVHM (as claptrap, fwiw) and there hasn't been any boss even nearly as frustrating and wipey. The difficulty curve in general is all kinds of hosed, though. Shoot the obvious boss at 41, then immediately your next quest is surrounded by swarms of impossible level 47 trash.
