Funkmaster General posted:Gamestop actually changed their midnight launch policies recently, such that all games launch at midnight EST. If you're on the west coast, that means you actually can stroll in at 9pm and pick it up. They just rolled the change out last week for Sunset Overdrive. That's actually pretty rad. Serious question: I have got every post MW CoD on consoles, but this year I upgraded my video card to a GTX 970. If I were to get it, should be get it on PC, or PS4. Control scheme does not matter to me (of course I like KB-M better because I am not a loving idiot, but I don't mind playing on a controller either)

I don't have archives - was there much in the way of positive goon groupthink for Ghosts before it was released? It was the first CoD since WaW I didn't pay any attention to in the months leading up to it, and I ended up hating it (I have liked all CoDs since CoD 2, except WaW). I'm optimistic about AW and most gooons seem cautiously optimistic too.

I could tell Ghosts was gonna be meh by watching youtube. I still bought it like a retard and confirmed it was poo poo. This one I've watched plenty of gameplay to know this is gonna be at least better than ghosts and introduces a bunch of fun mechanics.

I bought Ghosts at $60. I played it for two hours ever. I got peer pressured into buying this game. I just bought the digital version of this game. I'm the worst video game consumer. It can't be as bad as Ghosts, though, right?

The mention of selling Sunday afternoon makes sense, it's early enough to be interesting but not really early enough that the right departments would be alterted to it (especially on a Sunday) and it's the kind of thing you have to catch the store in the act of doing (showing up on Monday is already too late in this case). Larger stores tend to have systems in place that prevent selling early (the electronic register won't actually allow it, except maybe with a manager override which would still be flagged and result in the manager being questioned), and if someone put it out early they'd most likely be fired.

Have any fellow Xbox XIM4 faggots managed to get around the annoying buzz you get through your headset whenever you plug your controller in via USB? I've tried a different controller, headset adapter, batteries instead of charge pack, running through a powered USB hub... nothing solves it

European retailers tend to be able to undercut MSRP by up to 30% or so fairly regularly while the digital stores are always straight MSRP. Not inspiring much confidence in going digital, although I guess in this specific case you also get it on two platforms (PS3 and PS4, or 360 and Bone) if that's something you happen to want.
