I think if we were looking back at fifty years of history fighting the Russians with tactical nukes in Germany, instead of fifty years of fighting backwards locals with nothing more than shoulder arms in third world poo poo-holes, that article'd be even more correct.

Oh god that stupid C79 optical sight. I can see you have it in the CAF as well. We've had those in the Danish army since 95 now, and with the helmet introduced in 96 (and still currently in use) it has been impossible to see through the sight without resting the rim of your helmet on the sight - thus altering the zero as the sight can move about when touched. We're currently implementing a new helmet (Revision Cobra), but as there's a shortage of them I have no idea how they work with the C79 sights.

On a course, we had a collimater set for it, and then dropped the C7 from waist height onto a a padded floor, and the zero was off completely. From a couple foot drop for fucks sakes.
