Updates for https://github.com/Phonocardiogram/imageTools GlitchPaint - Now has a recording feature, toggle with the ` key. It saves every 5th frame just so you don't eat up space too fast. You can change that number if you want. - Group pixel sorting, both as a tool that can be applied and as a filter. - Scalable cut and paste as well as being able to cut/paste individual channels in both RGB and HSB. TimeScaler - Reordered things. It should give a better/smoother result on fast moving scenes. Haven't thoroughly tested it yet though. PixelSorter - Added group pixel sorting and tweaked a few things FrameTools - New tool which repeatedly applies a filter to a single frame and outputs each successive addition. Mostly fluff, but mode 7 (dissolves images using small group sorting) and mode 5 (repeated quilting) are really fun to watch.

This is so much fun. I managed to get some kind of faux-colour image from a b+w source by using three different phaser settings in audacity, then recombining to RGB. And another David Pratt fucked around with this message at 16:37 on Nov 4, 2014 |

Have't seen it posted here, but this is like some god tier data moshing. I still am not sure if they did this using old methods or if they somehow broke AE to make this work. I loving love the clash of the clean, high fashion, black and white aesthetic with the moshing. Looks mint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNu7_CAJ3uA for language, kind of.

The last 3 images are all really cool and make me wish I had made something cool to post. Is that Dream's helmet? edit: Also, that Royksopp video blends glitching with video production better than anything I've ever seen. It starts out impressive, but just gets better as it goes on. itsgotmetoo fucked around with this message at 04:11 on Nov 19, 2014 |

I tried your method using Churyumov comet as a base image. Added a splash of echo to it.

Well... it was an incomplete file from a torrent. VLC rebuilt the file for playback - 40-50% of it anyways. This was two VLC screenshots photoshopped together. I really liked the "In Association With This is That" text. "This is That" is the production company and the movie is called "Sleep Dealers". Oh - Except for the top left corner, which is I think what you are referring to. I did that with the drag marquee tool in zbrush for funsies. So.... how many of you have incomplete video torrents running? sigma 6 fucked around with this message at 00:18 on Nov 24, 2014 |

sigma 6 posted:WTF? Is is supposed to look like that? I imagine gameplay must be hard. Yes it's supposed to look that way, and the gameplay isn't very hard, or very existent yet. That video is from a demo build the dev put out to show off at a convention, which all you do in it is walk around, find the right perspective to make the broken polygons align and hit a button to snap them back together as an object. There's going to be a lot more to it in the real deal, which is still being worked on. dev's twitter: https://twitter.com/xra

So I decided to teach myself how to glitch. I started just a few days ago but I'm having a ton of fun doing this. I've never really had a creative side to me and it's an incredible feeling to have inspiration to do something. Anyway this is what I've done so far: These two were my very first attempts. Made with Wordpad. Then I got audacity and did this. I decided to get crazy with photoshop. I think it's cool but maybe it's a bit much? I had an idea today so I opened the Ferguson Season's Greetings pic in Notepad++ and typed some of Darren Wilson's testimony into it. I'm pretty happy with the result. I'd love some feedback. Those pixel sorting pics though. Holy poo poo.

I have, as of a few posts ago, more or less moved entirely to Processing. I still love Audacity. Processing and I go back way further and I'm working both on a toolkit for Processing and a VST for Audacity. Here's my dumb face in the same fashion:
