No more than usual really. After today we will still have a Republican controlled house of delegates and state senate and a Democratically controlled executive branch. Warner will win and so will every congressman incumbent running. The only real toss-up race is in the 10th district between Comstock (R) and Foust (D) who are trying to get the retiring Frank Wolf's (R) seat. I'm betting Comstock will win it and our congressional delegation will remain 3 Dem 8 Republicans (despite the state having just elected a Dem governor, lt gov, and attourney general for the first time in a long time.)

The Constitutional amendment giving tax breaks to spouses of KIA soldiers is probably going to pass as well.

Voted with, as usual, no wait whatsoever in the polling place which would be walking distance from my house if these weren't the dismal no-sidewalk-having suburbs. Voted for D's in every race I was familiar with, including for Hank Johnson because I want to keep Guam buoyant.

Would do again -- and will when the runoff happens.

My guess is I won't have as much fun as I did in 2012. That year an old white guy made eye contact with me like 100 feet away. He then walked past about 100 black and latino people to ask me if I wanted a Republican voting card. When I said ":) Oh no but thank you" all the people around me busted out laughing.

On my way some dudes were holding up a HUGE Ben Sasse sign on the street.

Not many other signs nearby, but then again none of the races are particularly tight in NE-1.

Just got done voting in my incredibly rich and republican hometown in central NH. The woman checking off names asked me for a photo id, so I asked her why she didn't ask the three people in front of me for theirs. When she said she did I called her a liar, and she got heated and said she had and I could ask any of them. I told her I didn't need to because I wasn't blind and was watching her specifically because the same thing happened to me two years ago. I then presented my military ID and asked if it passed her rigorous standards. She said nothing but handed it back and said she didn't think it was very nice that I called her a liar, to which I responded that I didn't think voter discrimination was very nice either. I got a little warm feeling in my bosom when she checked my name off so hard that her pencil broke.
