The buff evasion's not super small, but the rate you dodge is pretty 50/50 at like max buff. SMTIV's a game where I felt a power play style benefits you far more since fights end quickly for either side.

It's always better to hit people in the face than try to dodge them hitting you in the face. That's how you kill high level enemies early, abuse weaknesses and the press turn system for eight consecutive turns before the enemy even gets a go at you.

Evasion is pretty useless when you can just buff offense and nuke most bosses down in 2-3 turns instead.

For the most part battles in SMTIV are quick and to the point. Either you wipe out the boss as soon as possible for the longer the battle goes on, the greater the chance the boss smirks and when that happens you are royally hosed.

Are you kidding me. Grendel is a repeatable fight?! I barely scratched through with the skin of my teeth. Now I literally don't know where to go. I have the corpse missions but can't seem to find where to enter those, as the guy guarding that side of the underground won't let me pass.

You have to take what you can get when it comes to english voice acting. Atlus USA and all the other companies that localize Japanese games don't have the money to pay for anything other than freelance work. They aren't even credited in the actual game to get around SAG rules that would probably bankrupt the smaller studios. Also, since they aren't making public appearances or drama CDs they don't need to be kept around. Japanese VAs are cheap, which is why they're consistent.

I prefer Old Fuuka and New Chie, personally. Although new Fuuka does work for Arena where she's supposed to be mid-20s. It's going to be interesting to see if she can sound like a perpetually frightened teen in Q.
