One thing this episode gives to the overall series is the idea of a super-hacker using an impractical, SFX laden avatar if they need to make a public statement. I could see them use that as a stepping stone to Felicity creating her own version.

There's something oddly entertaining about just telling a friend last night that this week's Arrow was weak but the ending was completely unexpected, and then suddenly a message on Facebook now from him: "Roy killed Sara?!" Consider this is the person who got me into Arrow to begin with, so it's fun to share the plot twists with him. And that was one hell of a plot twist, if it doesn't end up being a hallucination or something to that extent.
