GTR2 is amazing and I cannot believe it costs about . There's so much user content compared to Race 07/GTR Evo including a Super GT mod with all the cars from 2005 up to 2011 or so including the Supra It's a shame there's no news on GTR3 but I feel like RaceRoom has probably taken its place or SimBin/Sector 3 are just taking a while...

I was under the impression that the v2 base was Xbone-compatible itself/all rims would work, and that only a particular PS4 rim would be needed to function on that platform. Unless you have discovered more about it than the vague press release?

I think we had this discussion before but everything is vague. Either you need a rim for both Xbone and PS4 or the base itself works on Xbone and you need a rim for PS4.

Unless you have discovered more about it than the vague press release? They made the press release more clear with an edit. All rims on the clubsport v2 base will work with PS3 and PC They have a deal with Microsoft to make rims for the XBox One that will work when connected to the v2 base. No deal has been made with sony so PS4 support is up in the air. All fanatec components that work on the Porsche, CSR and Clubsport lines (like shifters, pedals, and handbrakes) will work with Xbox One, PC, and PS3 while connected to a v2 base. All of the currently available clubsport rims work with both v1 and v2 bases, but the Xbox One rim will only be compatible with XBox one on the v2 base.

The situation isn't exactly better in real cars with a manual transmission.

Also rev matching is a lot less important in a fake car than in a real car.

I was reading another forum that happened to be talking about shifting and someone linked an old Empty Box vid about shifting that you guys might find entertaining. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7lUi-K3A1g He specifically mentions the fact that in most games transmission failure is typically not simulated to the degree that clutch use is even all that important, but the arguement there is that doing it is fun. His foot cam also shows what I thought everyone knows: you should drive on your sim pedals with socks only. Unless you really want to go full sim nerd and buy a pair of racing boots. Which from what I can tell are just fire retardant socks.

pretty much this. EDIT: Done with the modification, was just 2 screws on each pedal Before: After: Bonus in those pictures: the piece of cardboard I had to tape to the underside of my desk to get the DFGT clamps to actually be able to grip my desk (Desk was too thin by a couple mm) EDIT2: AAAAAnnnd I put the accelerator back on upside down. Now fixed. EDIT3: Also swapped out the spacer blocks on the clutch and accelerator, so now brake and accelerator are flush with each other while the clutch is a little further back. also, brake and accelerator are now as close together as I can get them and clutch as far away as possible.
