When you drop a lovely sluggish bloated engine on a console not long into its life, it would be weird if you weren't using nearly all the power of the console. Over the course of its life you learn to use it better, engines improve and get rewritten. AC Unity is just a mystery. The next batman game however aims for Xbone-PS4 graphical parity.

I'm trying to decide which game I should pick up during the b2g1 sale at Target this week. The new Call of Duty is already a lock for me and I was planning on getting AC Unity too, even if the reviews coming out this thread and elsewhere aren't stellar. I'm thinking about picking up Lords of the Fallen as the third game, to hold myself over until Bloodbourne, but was wondering what others have thought about it and if it holds up as a Dark Souls knock-off.

I preordered Unity because I am and will always be a sucker for historical action games (hence buying Dynasty Warriors games while being able to tell you fifteen ways they are awful), but I'm at least hoping that the problems a few people are describing is because they are exaggerating, or there's a very important patch that will be released tomorrow. I bought a PS4 like 3 weeks ago with Unity in mind. Unfortunately I'm going to have to do the same thing I did with Black Flag--wait a year and hopefully most of the problems will have workarounds.

Imagine if Unity was 10 missions long and multiplayer was less in depth than Black Flag, but the main characters little robe thing had ~dynamic robe technology~

Hah, I almost caved in and went for the Target B2G1 sale, but I made an extra credit card payment instead. Hooray for being somewhat financially responsible! Woulda been pissed if I picked up Mordor and saw that Black Friday ad. If I can get that and Diablo 3 I'll be happy. Glad I flip-flopped on Unity again and waited as well.

Far Cry is really hard to gently caress up, as hard as they tried to in 3 they still did not gently caress it up. 4 will probably be alright, but still don't get excited for, preorder, or pay full retail for Ubisoft games.
