Drove one of these on the weekend (same colour even) It's basically a Corolla/Auris with the V6 from a Camry/Aurion in the front and a bunch of luxury kit. Now I wasn't exactly expecting much out of that combination but it still managed to surprise me in just how badly it works in practice - the car lurches around on it's suspension in a completely uncontrollable fashion. Its bad enough even driving sedately let alone of you actually try an use any of that power. Quite annoying really as I really like a lot of things about the car - probably has the best interior of any small car I've been in.

The regular, non-master spec blade is way better. 2.4 camry banger and a manual trans and it doesn't handle like a sack of poo poo.

It looks like a potato in that color, and it doesn't sound like it handles much better than one too.
|
# ? Nov 10, 2014 07:24 |
Modern toyotas don't handle. They just sort of wallow and squirm at random until the ESC steps in and sorts things out. I seriously think that that's how they're designed; gently caress handling, we have electronics, lets just make the damping and springing as soft as possible for all the geriatrics.

Sure, but I was expecting Aurion levels of sloppiness and that Blade was something else, something much worse. Certainly made my worn out V35 Skyline seem like a comparative racecar

Yeah nissan definitely seem to still give a poo poo about making the cars go around corners by comparison. The latest maximas are razor sharp.

I don't see the problem, crumple zones are an integral design feature of modern cars. That baby in the back seat is probably fine!
