Hey, looks like a busy night for streaming, what's wrong with one more?  This is another practice run, focusing more on OBS-- got the BetterTTV plugin and with a chat window, stuff like that. Ben and I just got done doing the sound check (ZSNES is really loud, heh), so come on by! http://www.twitch.tv/broopgamers/I'm playing A Link to the Past, inspired both by Faerie Fortune's LP (seriously, check it out if you somehow haven't yet; it's  +  +  all rolled into one) and running into two Zelda-themed PSN names during Demon's Souls the other day. I played this game a lot, even if the last time wasn't for a few years, so it's also a challenge run: no swords if I can help it. Should be fun!And done, thanks everybody! Geez, I was rusty at this game.  So far I think the tally of things I sworded I didn't technically have to is four guards, the last Moldorm, and a handful of enemies I ran into by accident with the Pegasus Boots. Not counting the squid dudes in Tower of Hera because while you can trick most of them into falling into pits, they're still immune to every subweapon. Stopped right before getting the Master Sword.On the technical side, everything worked pretty well except for the stock settings. ZSNES was really loud compared to the Elgato; I had to turn the in-game audio down to 5% to not drown the mic out. So changing horses mid-stream is going to take a few extra steps. Also found out I'm a little baby when it comes to talking and playing, had to bail about 45 minutes earlier than planned, but I think practice will help there, heh.

 I'm in a stalking kind of mood. I've been playing Lost Alpha and watching dave_o play Stalker Complete though, so I'm gonna switch it up by messing around with Survarium, a free-to-play FPS that's currently in closed beta. It's got some lofty goals and a very clever web series wherein a Russian man teaches you ways to adapt to the end of civilization IRL, but currently it's a humble team vs. team shooter with quite an immersive atmosphere. Come check it out if you're down. There will hopefully be much CHEEKI BREEKI action, though I have noticed occasional lulls in the action on the server and have prepared accordingly.
